Senator Jon Kyl's Lies About Planned Parenthood "Not Intended to be Factual Statement"

Disclaimer: whatever Senator Jon Kyl says is "not intended to be a factual statement."
As the United States government creeped closer to shutting down on Friday because far-right-wing-nuts don't like abortion, Senator Jon Kyl took to the Senate floor to give a less-than-"factual statement" about the amount of abortions performed by Planned Parenthood, a federally funded organization that's been known to end a pregnancy or two.

"Everybody goes to clinics, to hospitals, to doctors, and so on. Some people go to Planned Parenthood. But you don't have to go to Planned Parenthood to get your cholesterol or your blood pressure checked. If you want an abortion, you go to Planned Parenthood, and that's well over 90 percent of what Planned Parenthood does," the senator crowed.

Nope.

As Politifact is quick to point out, only 3 percent of the services Planned Parenthood provides are "abortion related."

Jan Brewer Says Alaska Trip is Her "First Vacation" Since Becoming Governor -- Which is a Lie

We regret to inform you that we nearly let Governor Jan Brewer get away with one.

Since our earlier post about the governor's vacation to Alaska, which she claims is her "first vacation in over two years as Governor," we were reminded of a story we published last May. That story, contrary to the governor's claims in Twitter-town this week, was also about Brewer's "first vacation" since becoming governor.

See that story here.

In other words, Jan's lyin'.

Peoria Gunshot Victim Lied to Police About Shooter. Turns Out, She Shot Herself

Categories: Liar!

The same week the Peoria Police Department issued a friendly reminder that residents shouldn't kill themselves, it turns out a woman, who told police she was shot by an unidentified white male, actually shot herself.

"[Her story] was so vague we knew it wasn't true right away," Mike Tellef, spokesman for the Peoria Police Department tells New Times.

The story is as follows: about 10 p.m. last Tuesday, the victim called police and said she'd been shot in the abdomen by the unknown white male.

As Tellef says, the story didn't check out for a few reasons.

Another Tempe Girl Lies About Attempted Abduction. WTF?

Call off the dogs -- for the second time in less than a month, a Tempe girl's claim that a man tried to abduct her turned out to be BS.

Since our earlier post about a bald white guy trying to lure a 10-year-old girl into his truck by offering her candy, the Tempe Police Department announced that the girl's claim was "not truthful."

If you read our earlier post, we would like to take this opportunity to apologize to perverts everywhere. The lame "candy in the truck" routine prompted us to question the creativity of perverts. We were wrong -- apparently, it's the creativity of false-reporters that could use a little work.

Attempted Abduction of 11-Year-Old Girl a Hoax; Girl Made Up Story

Remember the story about the 11-year-old girl who said someone tried to abduct her this morning? About that...

We just spoke with Tempe police Sergeant Steve Carbajal and it turns out the girl made the whole thing up.

To avoid humiliating an 11-year-old girl, Carbajal wouldn't say why the girl made up the story about the abduction but says after detectives interviewed her she admitted it wasn't true.

The girl is 11, so who knows why she would make up a story like that. But it should be pointed out that many local media outlets were quick to applaud the girl for her courage and bravery in fending off her non-existent attacker.

Mesa Doc Re-Arrested on New Sex Abuse Charges Following Lawyer's Claim He Wouldn't be Charged

Categories: Liar!, News

Dr. Gabriel Ogbonnaya has been arrested...again.
We just got off the phone with Mesa Police Department Detective Steve Berry who tells us that not only are the three original sexual abuse charges against Dr. Gabriel Ogbonnaya still active, he was re-arrested on five additional complaints of sexual abuse, and two counts of sexual assault, this afternoon.

This comes just hours after his attorney, Jan Buescher -- who seems like she may be a graduate of the Gloria Allred school of media manipulation -- sent us an email saying Ogbonnaya would not be charged and chastising the Mesa Police Department for their mishandling of the case.

If you're not familiar with Ogbonnaya's case, click here.
