FBI Agent Said Jared Loughner Made Graffiti Used by "Christian Anti-Abortion Groups"

The thousands of pages of documents recently released in the case of Jared Loughner's murderous rampage, which left six people dead and injured 13, make one thing certain -- Loughner exhibited some very strange behavior.

In another example of this, a Pima County Sheriff's Department detective wrote in his report that a FBI Agent told him that Loughner had previously been caught making graffiti "associated with Christian anti-abortion groups."

Jared Loughner's mom told Pima County Sheriff's Department investigators that she thought her son was on "meth or something," when she was interviewed the day her son went on a murder rampage, killing six people and injuring 13.

In perhaps another sign that Loughner's parents didn't recognize a potential sign of mental illness in their son, she told a PCSD detective that she drug tested her son as they reached for an explanation for his behavior, but he came up clean.

Thousands of pages of records have been released from Pima County Sheriff's Department's investigation of Jared Loughner's 2011 shooting that killed six people and injured 13, including former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, perhaps giving more insight into Loughner's life.

Interviews with Loughner's parents show they had their concerns about Loughner's mental health, potential drug use, and having guns, but they weren't really sure what was wrong with Loughner in the days before his shooting rampage.

Gabrielle Giffords Featured in Gun-Control Ad: "Take It From Me, Congress Must Act" (Video)

The pro-gun-control organization headed up by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly, released a video ad featuring a plea from Giffords for Congress to act on gun-control proposals.

Giffords and Kelly announced the formation of Americans for Responsible Solutions last month, and announced their intentions to get Congress to pass some gun-control measures, as well as directly combat the NRA.

According to the court of public opinion, last week's shooting at a Newtown, Connecticut, elementary school isn't viewed as an "isolated act," unlike the shootings carried out by Jared Loughner and James Holmes.

Although the public's just about split on the issue, a Pew Research Center survey shows more people think the Newtown shooting "reflect[s] broader problems in society."

Consider this: it hasn't quite been two years since Jared Loughner opened fire outside a Tucson safeway, killing six people, and injuring 13, including then-Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

With today's shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut -- which reportedly killed 27 people, including 20 kids -- there have now been six mass shootings in the United States that were more deadly than Loughner's shooting, in less than two years.

Loughner -- the lone suspect in last year's Tucson shooting that killed six people and injured 13, including former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords -- pleaded guilty to 19 charges in federal court today, after being found competent to understand the charges against him.

As part of the plea deal, Loughner can't appeal his convictions, can't try any sort of insanity defenses, and won't ever be eligible for parole.

Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is "satisfied" with Jared Loughner's expected guilty plea, according to her husband, astronaut Mark Kelly.

Loughner -- the lone suspect in last year's Tucson shooting that killed six people and injured 13, including Giffords -- is scheduled to change his plea in federal court today, pending a competency hearing.

"We don't speak for all of the victims or their families, but Gabby and I are satisfied with this plea agreement," Kelly says in a statement. "The pain and loss caused by the events of January 8, 2011 are incalculable. Avoiding a trial will allow us -- and we hope the whole Southern Arizona community -- to continue with our recovery and move forward with our lives."
