Congressman Luis Gutiérrez of Chicago Calls Sheriff Joe Arpaio a Bully

Congressman Luis Gutierrez.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is a desperate man.

And a bully, says Illinois Congressman Luis Gutiérrez.

"I am proud to stand with Mary Rose Wilcox and the people of Arizona who can see through the Sheriff's publicity stunts and are not intimidated by his bullying," Gutiérrez says in response to Arpaio "offering" to send armed militia posse members on Friday to "secure" a Town Hall on immigration reform hosted by Gutiérrez and Wilcox, a Congressional candidate in Arizona's Seventh District.

"I travel all over the country talking about immigration and gun-violence prevention, and I have never had any problem," Gutiérrez said in a statement. "My position on those issues is immensely popular with most Americans. But I have also never had a local elected official use taxpayer dollars to call on local anti-immigration activists and other opponents to bring guns and form a posse at one of my events."

Welcome to Arizona, Luis.

It could be that Arpaio is clamoring for attention now that Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu is getting so much love from talking heads at FOX News. The self-dubbed "Sheriff Paul," who styled his nickname after the one-time immensely popular "Sheriff Joe," has been desperately pushing for a come-back since his very public fall from grace.

And he's no doubt trying to ride the media attention surrounding Gutiérrez's visit to the Valley. Sad, and desperate.

Wilcox and Gutiérrez, who has been the national figure on immigration reform, are hosting their Town Hall to pressure President Barack Obama to take executive action related to the children from Honduras, El Salvador, and other parts of Central America seeking asylum at Arizona's borders.

Their event begins at 5 p.m. on Friday with a 30-minute press conference and a Town Hall meeting immediately followed by a escaramuza charra -- a Mexican rodeo -- at Corona Ranch, 7611 S 29th Avenue in Laveen.

I always have heard and seen people or children who are bullied. Threatened, hurt, verbally abused, etc. It`s really hurt seeing people get hurt. "haters will say what they want, but their hate will never stop you from chasing your dream". I suggest a safety application you could use if you are in trouble. check this out for more info. http://safekidzone.com/#!/page_home

Immigration Reform, and Mary Rose Wilcox deserve a much Stronger Latino voice than Luis Gutierrez, even though he means well.

Arpaio, and Babeu have strong ties to Hate Groups, and are nothing but Media Chasing Racists abusing their Government Authority.

Fuck that faggot Gutierrez. He just doesn't like to hear the truth. He must be expelled from office with force if necessary. What a pathetic asshole he is.  His political days are numbered, mark my words!

Shurf Pauley has nobody else but Shurf Joe's slightly senile followers to be his admiring and adoring public. There are plenty of those in Pinal County. The average age down there is about 90. One group that would be loath to identify with Pauley, despite being "one of us," at least as far as who he sleeps with, is the LGBTQ community. I for one sure as hell would never claim him.

Robert, do you even know how the Constitution works?

First, there has to be EVIDENCE of a CRIME.

Second, the House of Representatives draws up charges, similar to an indictment.

Third, the Senate tries the accused, with the vice president acting as a judge (I think. The chief justice of SCOTUS I think is the actual judge)

Then the Congressman is considered booted.

But right now let's get you back in your straitjacket and rubber room Robert the Twit.
