Living in Phoenix comes with a unique set of challenges.

Although you might find some similar issues in other cities, only people in Phoenix have to deal with all 10 of these problems:

10.) Your football, basketball, or inner tube pops on a cactus

This is at least the 4th or 5th time this article has shown up in the news feed that I know of, so I will continue to post my comment of the opposite as well. How about this for those of us that love it here... 10 Problems Only People in Phoenix DON'T have to deal with? Although you might NOT find similar issues in some other cities as well, only people in Phoenix "don't" have to deal with these 10 problems: #1 Extreme inclement weather- (Hurricanes, Major Tornadoes, Earthquakes etc.) #2 Over sized insects- (like in Texas, Florida and other parts of the country) #3 High humidity- (Monsoon season humidity is minimal when compared) #4 School closings and delays due to Winter weather temps- (I grew up in Pa, so I know 1st hand) #5 Lyme disease- (we have Valley fever instead...and I caught an extreme case of it) #6 Large dangerous tire popping-rim bending Potholes- (one of the smoothest road systems around) #7 Limited sports- (yes, other states have every sports team as we do including Nascar and Drag Racing tracks...but a lot of states don't) #8 Rusty cars- (for those of us that are car people, this is a true blessing) #9 Large car, home and building swallowing sink holes- #10 When it's Winter, it's WINTER all over- (not like Phoenix "or several other cities in the country" where it doesn't snow and if you want it then just drive a couple of hours north and waa laaa, there it is...when you're done then you can just drive right back out of it the same way you got to it) ohh what a feeling. And one more just for good measure...#11 Large residential gas bills for those of us that have gas heating and gas water heating- (one doesn't always have the need to heat water for a long continuous period when our water tanks already do a good job of keeping the water fairly warm due to our climate, that is unless you have a large family that may continuously drain the tank, nor does your gas heating need to run for very long unless you have a massive residence to warm during our cooler months) Now I'm well aware that both of these lists for either side could go on and on and I know this may not be the best list and/or I may have missed some key problems Phoenix "doesn't" have, but I had fun writing it and thanks for reading.

Phoenix New Times posted this crap and a visitor from Sweden saw this tripe and believed it even tho it read as if a bitter 12 yr old boy wrote it after his girl broke up with him. Losers.

I've experienced all of them except #4 & 10, but especially #1. Many bike tires. Lol

We have "bark scorpions" the most dangerous! Been stung once, that was a 24 hour ordeal! Don't go there! Get rid of those crickets, favorite food for our scorpions.

Lived in different parts of Mesa my whole life ... I never had to do this until now. We moved into a house in Mesa on Lindsay and Southern and we've found a few of them in our garage and a few babies inside our house...but i haven't seen them for a few months? They aren't black and scary like that picture though. Lol!

We also have our fair share of scorpions. This really is just a dumb list. Obviously, someone doesn't get out of Phoenix much.

It's also not an Arizona scorpion...

Melanie Robbins

And we often drive in dust clouds, as well as shake our shoes out for scorpions and have molten rock around our cooling pools....and several others from this list! Oh, don't live in Phoenix either...........

Really? Then how come the cactus photo you used was taken in California? More specifically in the cholla garden in Joshua Tree National Park. Stupid.
