I love to avoid Scottsdale.
Danny King is the only commenter with common sense I've seen post on New times. Finally someone with some brains.
Scottsdale is NOT the douche capital. Its a great place to raise children away from the urban war zone that is the west side.
Scottsdale - you mean one of the douche capitals of the US?
Nasty police though !
The Dirty? Really?
One exception: Bronson Guitar Works rules!
Used to live there. I find that I like East Phoenix a lot better. Scottsdale blows.
You could have found better reason than this. This was weak.
I grew up in Scottsdale and while living in the bubble I thought it was great. The older I got the more I couldn't wait to get the heck out of there. My kids are being raised in Tempe and it's a much better, real life environment.
#11: It's even more glamorous than Peoria.
Shallow article, shallow city....hell, shallow big city news weekly. Saying something, even if it is from the hallowed mouths from New Times, doesn't make it true.
Rather than move-on, why not innovate or modernized the old-west demeanor of Scottsdale? We believe Scottsdale has its fair share of creative minds.
I like everything about old town Scottsdale except the cops .
Snobsdale u mean
The article seems to confirm the stereotypes.
If you're impressed by celebrities, divorcees, expensive cars and fancy restaurants, you probably love Scottsdale.
It's still the West's Most Midwestern Town
This place sucks.....
What he said...
scottsdale should move on from the old west image they are trying to protect. Nothing old west about hundred thousand dollar cars and high priced art shops.
I've always though that it's Snotsdale.
good one! You must be from the "Waste" side.
