Five Things Arizonans Should Know About Colorado Marijuana Stores Opening Wednesday

2). You may want to get up there now if you want to make history by being among the first to buy legal Colorado marijuana.

"We're expecting some long lines," says Jay Griffin, general manager of Dank Colorado in Denver, which expects to open on Wednesday.

All Dank customers, whether Colorado residents or not, will be limited to a quarter-ounce of pot just to make sure there's enough for everyone. Even then, Griffin says he's not sure if the supply will hold.

NORML's Gillette says she spoke with one Denver retailer who says he definitely expects to sell everything he has on hand, possibly the first day.

"It's just impossible to keep up with what the pot demand is going to be," she says.

Gillette puts the numbers in perspective: About 700 medical-marijuana shops in Colorado supply about 120,000 patients. The number of retail customers might be five or even 10 times the number of patients after Wednesday, yet customers will be served initially by only 34 stores.

Sounds like there will be a lot of empty shelves while new marijuana plants are grown.

Greedy Big $$ Colorado Dispensary Cartels TRIPLE their prices for "legal" weed.

"What really, really blew my mind was walking out with my wallet $70 lighter for 3.5 grams of pot. Basically, the same Chemdawg that I bought last week at $20 an eighth was going for nearly triple the price. I'm surprised my jaw didn't drop far enough to shatter the glass counter. One of the employees behind that counter tried to explain the high pricing to the New Jersey couple by talking about how high the excise tax is on wholesale buds, as well as the lack of supply and the cost of licensing and switching over to a dual-use facility. She also said prices would "level out" down the line -- let's hope it's soon, because $70 for an eighth of pot is absurd. Like, tourist in New York City absurd."

The REALITY of Colorado's Amendment 64 -- the Commercialization of Cannabis

A64 did NOT legalize marijuana -- even the authors of that turd stated as much.

A64 did NOT repeal a single marijuana Felony statute in Colorado.

A64 did NOT repeal a single Criminal Misdemeanor statute regarding marijuana in Colorado.

A64 did NOT even repeal the Criminal Offense of Public use/display of a single joint, bud, seed or edible, instead explicitly declaring that such behavior was not protected.

A64 explicitly declared that all private sales between consenting adults shall remain illegal -- a FELONY for a single gram!

A64 explicitly declared that Driving under the INFLUENCE of Marijuana shall remain ILLEGAL, which is now set at a paltry 5 ng/ml rendering nearly ALL mmj patients in violation.

A64 explicitly EXCLUDED EVERY ADULT under 21 yrs old from ANY LEGAL ACCESS to any rec. marijuana -- leaving 10s of thousands of young adults subject to the FULL CRIMINAL penalties of extant law -- even for a single joint, or a single plant, or a single seed.

Since A64 was passed, CRIMINAL Marijuana Citations in Denver have INCREASED 19 TIMES higher than in 2012 !!

One ounce is legal but if you go to 3 stores and buy an ounce at each , that would be 3 ounces, can you be arrested for possession of more than one ounce ?

Not you again could you please just go away?  We get it you hate people who use Cannabis.  Yes there are stupid people who use it as well as brilliant people.  There are doctors and lawyers who use it as well as thugs and criminals.  There are people who use it that hate drugs and alcohol and their are drug addicts and alcoholics that use it.  But whatever you are doing, is proving nothing but it is making people wonder why you just hate so much.  Give it a rest you're not changing the world or anyones opinion.

Poor Donkey, you should seek some professional help.  At first I thought you were just a hater but now I think it may be much worse than that.  Really you should seek some help.  This isn't normal.  Did you have problems with drugs as a child?

@DonkeyHotay I have to hand it to you that was a good comeback.  You are correct I am none of those things.  I am just an engineer and a member of Mensa.   I think the people that use this stuff have a right to do whatever they want, as long as they aren't hurting you or me.   It's called freedom.

Lighten up you may have a more enjoyable life.
