The female figure will not be the foundation of the marketing campaign for Scottsdale-based Go Daddy.

The company actually put out a press release stating that its commercials during the next Super Bowl will not contain "risqué innuendo."

This coming from the company that most of the country probably knows only for its use of women wearing tight-fitting clothes in Super Bowl commercials.

However, considering the fact that the company's celebrity spokeswoman, Danica Patrick, is one of the most famous women in the country, it looks like the company's about to try out that whole female empowerment thing.

Part of the new ad campaign is centered on Patrick, and part of it is supposed to be inspiring to small-business owners.

So, are you going to miss Go Daddy's old ads? Do you approve of the switch?

I have several websites in my name and manage several others for clients.  I have never given GoDaddy a dime of business because of my opinion of their advertising.  Just as I've never set foot in a Hooters or what is euphemistically called a "gentleman's club."   While we're on the subject, I also no longer consider myself to be a Catholic because of their misogyny.   I believe in other people's freedom to engage in distasteful or unethical behavior, but no way am I throwing money at it.

It served its purpose of getting their name recognized.  Now it's time to change their image to get more actual business from grown-ups.

When you suggest that a company consider using GoDaddy for web hosting, you don't want to have the boss say "What?!  That place with the boobs?"

@DNichols

So now, to the list of reasons to get him out of office, we add the fact that a person can't have a serious discussion about boobs without Joe ruining it.
