Should Tom Horne Think About Resigning?

Maybe Attorney General Tom Horne ought to think about resigning.

Again, Horne and one of his employees were found to have circumvented state campaign-finance laws, by coordinating Horne's AG campaign with an independent-expenditure committee.

Stephen Lemons reported on Friday Yavapai County Attorney Sheila Polk's order for Horne and Kathleen Winn refund nearly $400,000 of the money raised by that independent-expenditure committee.

Of course, this comes after Horne hired his alleged mistress at the AG's office, and his efforts to hide it , as well as his hit-and-run case -- which was seen by two FBI agents who were following him.

Don't you think Horne should be thinking about, you know, resigning from his post as the state's top prosecutor?

"UNDER INVESTIGATION, UTAH ATTORNEY GENERAL RESIGNS"

By DAN FROSCH Published: November 21, 2013

DENVER — "Utah’s embattled attorney general, John Swallow, resigned Thursday amid persistent questions about whether he had committed widespread ethics violations, saying the legal fight had become too costly.

“This is a somber day,” Mr. Swallow said at a news conference at the state Capitol in Salt Lake City. “I have vigorously maintained my innocence of all allegations.”

Pressure had been mounting for months on Mr. Swallow to resign. Among other investigations, a special state legislative committee and the lieutenant governor’s office have been looking into whether he had given preferential treatment to donors and failed to disclose business conflicts of interest."

Folks, Time to wake up and vote in the Primary, where sleaze-bags get elected.

Top prosecutors have the awesome power of determining who lives and who dies, who remains in prison for decades at taxpayer expense. And most importantly, work daily to take your rights away.

Which of Arizona's top prosecutors would you trust with your life or those of your loved ones, as they continue to play power games with your tax dollars?  They are shameless and a disgrace to the non-existant justice system in Arizona.

Horne's a massive dickhead, a dick-sucking shitface, and a narcissistic douchebag.

A better question would be should Obama think about resigning?

That CLOWN SHURF should've arrested this criminal, since he claiomed in his press release that he was going after all criminals...well....ELMER HORNE,  is a big criminal who should b in federal prison.

I wonder where r all those "patriots" that pound their chests and yell about d RULE OF LAW, like Gin Jan Brewsky who said that anything illegal should b prosecuted 2 d full extent of d law; Horny Toad was involved in that Hit-run, then left the scene of d accident, and that's completely illegal... or where is Lap Dog Monty, also TWOTIMES PEARCE, not to mention CRAZY LEG JOE,since all he's been saying lately: "I enforce all d laws" , also saying that he is going 2 arrest all those drug trafickers, criminals and gansters....well, there is Horne, d biggest criminal, arrest his ass.

I have come to the conclusion that Tom Horne is a sociopath. He refuses to accept any responsibility for anything he does, and will not admit he is wrong. He apparently is going to challenge this ruling in court.

Every Time I see this fat, ugly bastard I throw up in my mouth a little.

What he should do is "Call Saul!" He should be in need of a competent criminal attorney.

Yes, but his power hungry ego won't consider it!

Politicians don't have the ethic's or morals to resign after getting caught breaking the laws, they just keep on breaking them and then laugh in the voters faces while persecuting others for the same things they do.

Until we change the way we elect our leaders, it probably doesn't matter who resigns.   We'll just end up with a different set of unqualified people whose only significant skill is in manipulating people into thinking in terms of "us" vs "them".

If we're waiting for him to do the right and honorable thing, we're going to have a helluva wait. We knew he was a crook before we elected him.

Anybody ever notice how the little guy gets charged and prosecuted to the full extent of the law, yet any time a public official, law enforcement officer or politician get busted with something, it's suddenly falls into a 'social issue' and is subjected to opinion, instead of the same result a regular person would get? Why is he not in jail??! If I hit someone and bailed, I'd be arrested. He gets to steal cash, commit fraud and hit and run and the consequence is being subjected to a gossip column. Gee, poor thing....

Horne it was revealed during his campaign was banned for life from the stock market, for unethical illegal behavior, what does one expect he will repent due to being elected attorney general!

@Mike McLauchlin His representation of Arizona is perfectly fine. You only say what you said because YOU don't like him. How do you feel about Obama and Holder's representation of our country?

Why should he have a competent attorney? He sure wasn't competent for the people who he served.

@Linda Evans

Who are you calling the "we" in "we elected him"?  The handwriting was already on the wall before he announced his candidacy; but, it's too bad the Arizonan's educated under his guidance couldn't read it.

@Dave Brookhouser No he has WAY TOO MUCH self respect, or otherwise called EGO. He thinks he is above the law because he is so special.

@tomsimpson790 I believe he accepted the lifetime ban on trading stocks or working for any company involved in stocks rather than go on trial for stock fraud for which he was certain to be convicted.

Yet, the Arizona Bar had no problem accepting someone of that character.

And the voters of Arizona were happy to elect him to office multiple times, even though his fraudulent character has long been known.

After all, he is a Republican and a Mormon ( which makes it all but illegal to vote for anyone else ).

I'm not a Republican, genius.  If you put up with the Democrat/Republican domination of our politics, you're as much to blame as anybody.

To sum up the level of intelligence in Arizona, all one has to do is look at Robert Graham and it becomes very obvious why Arizona is always ranked at the bottom of education.

@azwillie @tomsimpson790

Thats because the Arizona Bar has no ethic's either when you come right down to it.
