A Phoenix man accused of stealing merchandise from a Target store told a police officer that if he touched his genital area while searching him, he'd return the favor.
Sure enough, police say 25-year-old Alexander Garcia gave the officer a solid squeeze -- which landed Garcia in jail on a felony aggravated-assault charge.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, the officer was working off-duty at the Target store, near 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Security guards at the store told the officer that they saw Garcia hide merchandise under his clothes, but when the officer confronted Garcia, he denied it.
The officer could see that Garcia was hiding the items under his pants, according to the court documents.
Garcia tried to run away, but was taken down by the officer, who waited for an on-duty officer to arrive and help.
The officers tried to search Garcia, but he was having none of it, according to the court documents.
Garcia kept trying to turn away, and had to be told several times to stop. Once one of the officers took of Garcia's belt, he made his threat.
"You want to grab my balls, I'll grab your balls," Garcia said, according to a police probable-cause statement.
Sure enough, police say Garcia gave a squeeze on the officer's genital area, and the officer took him to the ground, and kept him there until he calmed down.
The episode didn't end there, as police say Garcia proceeded to grab the front of the officer's utility belt, and later tried to grab another officer's Taser, before trying to grab the other officer's gun, according to the documents.
Court documents indicate Garcia has a history of arrests for assault and aggravated assault. In this case, he was booked into jail on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and shoplifting, in addition to an outstanding warrant.
