Whether that's enough time for this unbelievable assault, you be the judge.

As New Times described in a November 2011 article (above), this was a nightmare scenario for the family.

Marquez snuck into the home near 75th Avenue and McDowell by removing a window screen and unlatching an arcadia door. The perv took off his shorts and donned a condom before going inside.

Wearing nothing but the condom and a T-shirt, he crept into the girl's bedroom and put a hand beneath her diaper to make sure she was female. Then he sexually assaulted her.

But that's not all. Marquez may have figured he was going to pull an Ariel Castro move. After assaulting the girl, he picked her up and tried to take her out the front door. The sound alerted family members, who stopped Marquez from kidnapping the girl and held him until police arrived.

Marquez later pleaded guilty to sexual conduct with a minor and attempt to commit molestation of a child.

He'll be in his mid-40s when he gets out of prison.

Cross your fingers for rehabilitation.

To the writer,

You honestly believe sick men like him get "rehabilitated"? Are you brain dead? As a sexual abuse and assault victim I empathize with the tiny girl and what she's going to have to live with for the rest of her life. He deserves a slow death. Why test on animals when there are men in jail like him?

Hopefully, the other inmates/cellmates will take care of him once he is in prison.  He deserves it

24 years vs Life time suffering for the poor kid?  Death penalty would have been more appropriate.

24 years behind bars would be enough time if they also castrated him and amputated his fingers...

all i am going to hope for is that they let him into general population.........................i dont think he'd make it to dinner let alone make it to his release date

The death penalty would have been more appropriate.  But since the court couldn't sentence him to that, once he gets to prison I'm sure his days will be numbered once the other inmates find out what he did.

@JoeArpaioFan  please take careful note of EXACTLY what i am saying. this is probably the only comment of yours that i am supporting you on. the only discrepancies i find (not disagreeing, just making an observation) would be that they would never have considered the death penalty on a molestation case (they should, they just wont).        BUT!!!!!!! your claim of his days being numbered once he is in general population...............................i feel that to be spot on and feel that would be better than a lethal injection (it would be slower and more painful). i feel you to be a twit and uneducated and morally defective, but i have just got to back you on this comment. to me, rape and child molestation are absolutely 100% the most heinous crimes man can commit.    (that  being said, we can go back to war with one another)

@danzigsdaddy You don't agree with me on other things I say because you a clueless moron so I'll ask you again, what part of the word ILLEGAL don't you understand?

@robert_graham really Robert? the implication that I dont understand the word illegal is actually pretty funny. lets recap my comments and your comments shall we? please show where i defend criminals or illegal activity. please show where i say ANY criminal should go unpunished. please show where i defend any crime and its lack of punishment. please show where i say ANY criminal should go unpunished. you will be hard pressed because I dont. the difference between you and I is that I truly believe ALL crime should be punished, you do not. I believe there are crimes that are not getting the attention they deserve, you do not. i object strongly to crimes like rape and child molestation being given low priorities, you on the other hand refuse to admit they are happening. I believe the governing body and all elected officials need to answer for their mistakes and the mistakes of their subordinates, you refuse to admit ANY wrong doing unless it is a democrat being discussed. I dont believe 2 wrongs make a right or that people should be able to break the law just because someone else has, you do. i dont believe we can take the law into our own hands, you do. i believe the law is there to punish people who have had their day in court, you do not, you believe an accusation is enough to merit a death sentence (even for trivial low level crimes). i believe we should stop illegal immigration by punishing those who seek them out and employ them (which is one reason why they have Americans jobs), you do not feel that to be a crime. so in summation Robert, it sure looks like I am more for law and order than you are, it seems that perhaps YOU are the one that doesnt understand the word ILLEGAL. selective law enforcement is NOT law enforcement
