Dear Jan Brewer: Please Don't Try to Finger President Obama Again

Governor Jan Brewer

Citizens, please join us in requesting that Governor Jan Brewer not finger the President of the United States again.

As you may recall, Brewer made assholes of us all in early 2012, as she shoved her finger in President Obama's face upon his arrival on the tarmac at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Now, it looks like Brewer's trying to run into Obama when he comes to Phoenix next week.

See also:
-President Obama Coming to Phoenix to Talk About Something or Other

The Associated Press reported that Brewer's "interested" in meeting with Obama, who's coming to Phoenix on Tuesday to give a speech on housing.

What Brewer's spokesman told the Arizona Republic is even more troubling to those who don't want to see another episode of Brewer giving a fingering to the president.

According to the Republic's report:
Asked what topics the governor would like to discuss with Obama, [Brewer spokesman Andrew] Wilder responded, "That's nothing we're going to discuss at this time. That's all I'm going to say about it."
Holster the finger, governor.

The infamous photograph of Brewer, with her mouth agape, hair as neat as a rat's nest, and her finger inches from the president's chin is still all-but-engrained in our minds. We seriously don't need another one. There are really plenty of people who really don't like Obama, and they all manage to keep their fingers far from his face.

It really doesn't help Arizona shed the stereotype of Arizonans being brown-skin-hating neanderthals, and it's just rude in general to shove a finger in someone's face.

Just say no to fingering, Governor.

Give them both the finger and vote for the libertarian party. How long are you going to keep putting up with the lies?

Hmm. coming to AZ to talk about homeownership yet the high ranking military person trying to buy a house across the street from me can't get the govt to sign off their part of the loan even though they already qualified?  Cool story brobama.

Here's what she should ask:

1.  How long can we sustain a national debt of $17,000,000,000,000.00?  It is increasing an average of 2.2 BILLION dollars per DAY.

2.  How can you pursue the social/democratic philosophy while it is failing right before your eyes all over Europe?

3.  Detroit failed because of the greed of the unions (including the PERA albatross) and the spend, spend, spend mentality of the liberal dems.  Chicago and all of California will soon follow.  Is this what you want for the country?

Finger my butt.  What Obama needs is her boot shoved up his ass.

Obama is one of the biggest hypocrites to be president. How this guy and his "choom gang" gonna smoke weed all the time and be president and then have his admin throw people in prison for doing exactly the same things he does? I hope brewer does something, Politics is mostly for entertainment purposes anyways.

IdontRecall

I hope the OLD WITCH gets drunk & doesn't show up at the President's arrival, otherwise is going 2 B another day 2 remember, specially if she dares to sitck up her "pleasure finger" again. She is so dumb that probably won't remember she already did it once.

This time Brewer will be carrying a broom and will only say "..and your little dog too!"

I don't have much respect for Brewer, but I'm more willing to forgive stupidity than the intentional harm Obama is doing.

@CoolStoryBro

Maybe that high ranking military person should join the real world and stop demanding that the VA lend him money to buy a house.  There are 1001 other lenders out there, have him pick another lender instead of insisting that the government lend him the money.

marcy
marcy

@fishingblues

Would she say that before or after she asks the federal government for more money for roads in Arizona?

Arizona has its own problems with overly generous retirement benefits to state and local government workers so maybe she could address that first as well.  Of course that would kill the political support she gets from Arizona unions that represent government workers.

@fishingblues IDC what you do in the privacy of your own home but coming here and asking for someone to "finger my butt" is inappropriate. tsk tsk You teabaggers sure are strange.

@JoeArpaioFan  and she deserved to do time for her DUI, and for defrauding the government for $75,000 for her rapist son, maybe Obama should be giving her the finger

@IdontRecall He's not welcome in Phoenix or anywhere in Arizona. How much taxpayer money is the government wasting on his trip to Arizona? Maybe while he is here he will tour the border and come to the realization that there must be more border security and more deportations.

Yup, lots of "harm" in the recovery from GW's wholesale destruction!

@valleynative What "intentional harm" are you talking about?  You just label people with these broad brush insults and are never specific!

@marcy

Maybe you should join the real word and recognize that the VA home loan is a benefit US citizens receive from the government for serving their country as part of the military.  When did you serve?

fishingblues

@marcy @fishingblues   Good point marcy.  As a Libertarian, I don't like the vast majority of politicians, I don't like unions, I don't like PERA.  Someone has to start asking REAL questions of our politicians.  The press won't do it.  They have shown themselves at least as hypocritical, duplicitous and worthless as the politicians.

fishingblues
fishingblues topcommenter

@THE_JUDGE @fishingblues   I looked at that when I wrote it and figured only a sexual deviant would take it that way.  You proved that out when you also brought up "teabagging".   What you freaks do for kicks is a little disgusting to an old schooler like myself.

By the way, I'm a Libertarian.  Try to get it right next time.

@JoeArpaioFan @IdontRecall And how much taxpayer money does your Sheriff idol spend running around the country solving "crimes" that are not in his jurisdiction?

valleynative
valleynative topcommenter

@WhoKnows

Yes.  Irreparable harm.  MOST of that job growth has been in low-paying part-time work.  The deficit has NOT gone down, only the rate of growth has declined.  The Dow would have doubled months earlier, without Obama inciting anti business feelings (you do realize that the Dow is a measure of how well the Wall Street "fat cats" are doing, don't you?)

jonnyquest

How about the unconstitutional use of intelligence agencies and illegal use of the IRS against political enemies? You know, like Nixon and Watergate, except WAY bigger.

valleynative
valleynative topcommenter

@ExpertShot

Where to begin?

He's increased the divisiveness of the federal government more than any President in history, starting from almost day one.   He did more damage to the economy than Bush, while blaming any failures on "what he had to work with".  He's destroyed the integrity of the White House with more lies than Clinton, and by inserting himself into issues he should have stayed out of ("the police acted stupidly" and offering emotional commentary on Travon Martin, for example),  That's just a start.

jonnyquest
jonnyquest topcommenter

Ok. This is just from the hip. Fascists really like knowing what you think, write and say. Nonconformists are really closely watched. Fascists commonly scare the public with external threats. This creates fear and a willingness to submit to government intrusions normally rejected. Fascists seek to control common necessities. Fascists absolutely will not tolerate any ability to resist their total control. Enough to start? I gotta get dinner going.

WhoKnows

@valleynative @ExpertShot

Something just occurred to me...I thought that I would help you out. I can tell by your posting that you have no idea what President Obama has accomplished so far. In your defense, it's not totally your fault that you don't know these things. We have an incompetent media, a lazy, entitled bunch of corporate owned idiots that love to hear the sound of their own voices, but tell the American people nothing...and try to give a "balance" to reality that is not and has not been balanced in some time.

Read these. Now you may not agree with everything that's been done, that's fine. But as you can see from this...he is not the reckless monster that you have heard he is...or that you think he is.

All of these have citations..click on them, read the details. I hope that this is enlightening for you.

I appreciate that you read my posts. I think a realistic view of history would be a fabulous idea. Start here:

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4546583n

Take special note of the dates...and the length of time 2000-2008. This is fact. Your history, as it were.

Here's some more historic truth.

http://www.bushtoll.com/

What you speak of...that "divisive" President...is nothing more than the Democratic President that dared to be a black man. HE wasn't  being divisive, he was trying to handle a catastrophic crisis, not of his making, that required serious adults in the conversation and no time to pussyfoot around. Put yourself in those shoes, if you're honest, you would have been scared spitless and would have done the same.

valleynative
valleynative topcommenter

@desertflower

 @desertflower

I've read your posts.  You should review history with an open mind, if you can.

Bush didn't cause the collapse of the global credit default swap market. At the time, economists from both parties were predicting that it would take several months to recover, regardless of who was elected.  After Obama stepped in, it took years.

Republicans plotting to thwart his plans is an example of his divisiveness.  A less divisive (and more experienced) leader wouldn't have announced plans that would enrage such a large percentage of the population.  He took advantage of Bush's failed Presidency to declare the Republican party and all conservatives to be marginalized.

desertflower
desertflower

@valleynative @ExpertShot

You seriously have NO idea what you're talking about. Even BEFORE President Obama took office, the shysters in CONgress were plotting against him! And the PRESIDENT is divisive??

http://swampland.time.com/2012/08/23/the-party-of-no-new-details-on-the-gop-plot-to-obstruct-obama/

TIME just published “The Party of No,” an article adapted from my new book, The New New Deal: The Hidden Story of Change in the Obama Era. It reveals some of my reporting on the Republican plot to obstruct President Obama before he even took office, including secret meetings led by House GOP whip Eric Cantor (in December 2008) and Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (in early January 2009) in which they laid out their daring (though cynical and political) no-honeymoon strategy of all-out resistance to a popular President-elect during an economic emergency. “If he was for it,” former Ohio Senator George Voinovich explained, “we had to be against it.” The excerpt includes a special bonus nugget of Mitt Romney dissing the Tea Party.

He did more damage to the economy than Bush? Are you HIGH??? Gee, Bush crashed the global economy and we were losing 800,000 jobs PER MONTH, jobs lost, homes lost, 401K's decimated...That's what GOT HANDED to this President! In the last 4 years, 7.2 MILLION jobs have been created, housing is back, auto industry is on fire,manufacturing back,exports back, stock market has doubled (and those 401K's are healthy again) standing in the global community is strong and America is looked up to again as a global leader.

In the mean time, you give a pass to the jackasses that plotted, not only against a duly elected President, but an entire country because WE elected him! You give a pass to the guys that would sign pledges to a common citizen, going totally against the only oath that SHOULD have taken, and that is to uphold and defend the Constitution...well, THAT went in the crapper!

The fact that you would try to blame this President, while turning a blind eye to what was REALLY going on and DEFEND that behavior, is disgusting.The President has more manners and patience for these sabotaging assholes than I ever would have! As far as I can see, their collective behavior, TO THIS DAY, is bordering on sedition.

@valleynative @ExpertShotHow does one person increase divisiveness?  What is the sound of one hand clapping?  Of course, we can also blame FDR for decreasing world peace by declaring war on Japan and Germany.

LBJ was pretty divisive too, what with losing the South to white male Republicans by forcing the enactment of civil rights legislation.  He made a lot of reactionaries angry with that Medicare thing too.
