The mother of Matthew Hendley and Stephen Lemons top the list of bad moms because they failed to bring up their sons the right way.

Why this article instead of top 10 creative mom's in the valley, or top 10 chef mom's in the valley.  There are so many things to celebrate in the valley rather than be cynical about, why this angle instead of the more positive ones.

Why no Debra Milke, on Death Row for the death of her son.

Because this needs to be addressed instead of ignoring it and pretending it's not reality.  The future of these children who have suffered and lived are much more important than the 10 creative moms in the valley! As a community we should be discussing the fate of these children and how we can help them become funtioning members of society.  It's not being cynical, it's being real.   I am so disappointed that our society has turned their back to children, stories like this are needed more.  We need to hear the abuse because something needs to be about it, tougher laws for these child abusers.  Instead of asking who the top 10 chef moms are, ask how you can help these children or other abused children.

Maybe because she's innocent?

Possibly because she may not be guilty.

@ConcernedCitizen I just saw your response to my comment.  Yes, you're right.  We do need to talk about how badly CPS is underfunded.  And yes, we need to talk about the lack of funding for mental health resources to help overwhelmed mothers learn coping strategies and obtain treatment for mental illness so that they can be good parents to their children despite the challenges they face.  But this isn't that article.  This article doesn't discuss how we help children become functioning members of society. This article doesn't do an in-depth deep dive into the problems facing our communityand the solutions to help us solve those problems. This article is a recap of the shit it in the news every day.  This article is a cheap, easy to slap together summary of all the bad shit that's been covered over the past year.  Either do the article that you've described or do an article celebrating the great mom's, but don't do a cop-out article the does nothing more than rehash old stories about shitty moms.  That was my point.
