Eduardo Savinon, Phoenix Elementary School Teacher, Accused of Molesting Two Students
Police got word of the allegations against Eduardo Savinon, a 45-year-old teacher at Alta E. Butler Elementary School, after one of the students started crying on her way to school and told her mother that she didn't want to go to school anymore.
"She further stated she did not want her teacher, Eduardo Savinon, to touch her anymore," a probable-cause statement says.
According to court documents obtained by New Times, the girl's mother went straight to the principal and relayed this information, and also told the principal of another student in the class who may have been "victimized."
The first girl told investigators that Savinon was helping her with a reading assignment while she sat at her desk, and said Savinon started moving his hand up her leg. She said Savinon was "trying to go up there," the documents state.
"She stated he did not actually touch her vagina but was attempting to," the documents say. "He stopped this action when another student approached."
The other girl in the class told investigators that Savinon put his hand up her skirt and rubbed her "middle part," according to the documents. The girl claimed Savinon also rubbed her butt, the documents state.
Savinon was arrested on Thursday, and denied the allegations to police.
Savinon, a married man, faces three felony child-molestation charges.
His bond was set at $75,000.
