John McCain Calls Iran's President a "Monkey," Says to "Lighten Up" If You Think It's Racist

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
Question: is it appropriate to call someone a "monkey"?

If that person eats bananas and swings from trees, then maybe. If you're Senator John McCain, and you're talking about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, then maybe not.

Recently, Ahmadinejad said he'd be willing to be the first Iranian to go into space. That came a few days after Iran claimed it sent a monkey to space.

Cue McCain:

Not everyone liked that joke, apparently. McCain followed up later with, "Re: Iran space tweet - lighten up folks, can't everyone take a joke?"

One of those people who got upset was Republican Congressman Justin Amash, who "tweeted" the following response to McCain: "Maybe you should wisen up & not make racist jokes."

If you think this is racist, and/or you think the above photo illustration of Ahmadinejad as the Easter Bunny is racist, please let us know in the comments field below.

Since losing his presidential bid against President Obama, this "Senator" has turned into a vindictive, mean-spirited old man who seems to be incapable of rational thinking anymore! Just watch him and the two other stooges, Graham and Ayotte, rumble around Congress. And things have only gotten worse for him after President Obama's re-election!

This man is too old to be an effective Senator, and he is bad at cracking jokes (e.g. "Bomb Iran") so I don't know why he insists on being "funny."  He is foul-mouthed, demented, and sad.

Pretty sure GW Bush got called and compared to a monkey pretty constantly during his presidency, and he was nowhere near as bad as Ahmadinejad...

What else can be expected from an Arizona Diaper wearer, warmonger racist. So much for the "MAVERICK" title. Seems like He wants to provoke another war, what He cares, since His life is almost over.

That shoiws how much he cares for his contituents. not thinking about the consewuences.

And for Sen. McCain to have recently criticized Hilary Clinton and  Susan Rice for their supposed lack of  diplomatic skills only shows his complete arrogance and his own complete ignorance of diplomacy. Is that what we call people who are developing nuclear power for energy or wepeons? And yes such comments (even those of a people we don't agree with) do reflect those of a racist.

Lame joke stolen from the late night comediens, but referring to Ahmadinejad as a monkey is about the nicest thing you can call him.   Ahmadinejad goes on and on in his anti-Semetic rantings for years and not a peep out of someone like Rep. Justin Amash.  One quip by McCain and all of a sudden Amash becomes the thought police, hhhhmmmm.
