Should the Arizona Cardinals Hold Open Tryouts for Starting Quarterback?
![]() |
In fact, between the three quarterbacks, they haven't won a single game in their last eight combined chances, so how could any of us random jackasses in the greater Phoenix area do any worse than that?
To illustrate the mess at the quarterback position, here's an opinion on Sunday's Cardinals game from Newsday's Neil Best: "Ryan Lindley is the worst quarterback I have seen in 44 years of watching and 20 years of covering the NFL."
Lindley completed 10 passes in 31 attempts, for 72 yards -- an average of 2.3 yards per completion. He threw zero touchdowns, and one interception.
Could any random schmo from the Phoenix area do better than that? Of course not, unless perhaps that random schmo happens to be part-time Chandler resident Donovan McNabb.
However, who cares? Why not let some dude -- or lady -- finish out the season?
