so if your a wounded vet from another state, you get a governors welcome and thanks (as long as you are the son of the govs friend), but if you are a sick vet from this state, you get tortured and murdered by MCSO and the gov thinks thats okay? goddam.... glad i served my country when i lived in Illinois

@shadeaux14 dont forget, Arpaio's answer to the questions of Marty's death "sometimes thats the cost of doing business", other police departments or agencies dont seem to feel that way. if that was truly the cost of doing business, there would be more cemetaries than circle K's out here. not to mention, if thats the belief "the pickled pig" seems to accept....who the hell wants to bring industry to Az?

"in arizona, sometimes death is the cost of doing business. so if you bring jobs to arizona, half of your employee's might not live long enough to get pensions or retire. and if they are brown....well, then the survival rate gets even lower. not only can we offer your kids the worst education in the country, they might not even live long enough to make it to college!!!! think of the savings!!"

its so nice to know she will go visit her friends kids on our dime, yet doesnt do jack shit for our vets. what a wonderful way to represent our state. is she aware there is a V.A. in our city she could devote her time too? it wouldnt cost her near as much to visit them

This is such a dumb article. Brewer is in Washington D.C. visiting sick veterans. That's not called missing, it's doing the right thing for the holidays.

@FredHiggins at least she isnt thanking the sick veterans of this state the same way Arpaio does. Marty Atencio and his family recieved no royal treatment like Jan's friends do, poor Marty got tortured and killed when someone tried to get him help

@FredHiggins actually....her not putting face time in with our vets is probably a bigger thank you than her showing up. the horrors of war are bad enough, who wants to see all that and then see the sea hag hovering over your recovery bed?

@FredHiggins have you ever been to the V.A. downtown? there are a few thousand just sitting around there that would like to be thanked for there sacrifice and dedication. we have a veterans cemetary that is packed with the remains of people she could also have been honoring and thanking for their sacrifice too. so "the pickled pig" feels her energies should go instead to people in other states? i am not saying they dont deserve thanks and honor, but the people of her state should be the ones she should be first in line to greet and thank
