Jan Brewer Claims Weather May Be Caused by "Different Things"
|Governor Jan Brewer discusses the weather.|
The setup from KTVK-Channel 3's Dennis Welch was asking the governor whether she believes global warming is man-made, and her response is an instant classic.
"Everybody has an opinion on it, you know, and, uh, you know, I probably don't believe that it's man-made," Brewer said. "I believe that, uh, you know, um, weather elements are controlled maybe by, uh, different things."
According to an educational website for children we found, Brewer is correct about this.
"The weather is just the state of the atmosphere at any time, including things such as temperature, precipitation, air pressure and cloud cover," according to WeatherWizKids.com. "Daily changes in the weather are due to winds and storms. Seasonal changes are due to the Earth revolving around the sun."
The question, however, was about climate change, which is more of a trend thing, rather than, boy, why is it so sunny today?
Channel 3 wisely included the follow-up from Brewer, in which she very clearly illustrated the fact that she was not prepared for that question, and did not like it.
"Where in the hell did that come from?" she asked.
