Richard Carmona, U.S. Senate Candidate, Trailing Congressman Jeff Flake, According to Early Results
Several hundred Democrats gathered inside of a Tucson Marriott conference room are still waiting to hear from U.S. Senate candidate Richard Carmona and other Election Night candidates.

It's about three hours past Carmona's expected arrival, but it's likely he's waiting for results from all voting precincts to be posted.
As of 10:30 p.m., the Secretary of State website shows that several hundred precincts have yet to be tallied. But early results show Congressman Jeff Flake has an early lead over the former U.S. Surgeon General.
Despite those early, unfavorable results, the crowd here is elated over major news networks calling the presidential race for Barack Obama and CNN's projection that Democrats have retained control of the U.S. Senate.
