Koko Anderson Decided to Take Her Child on a Drive... Down a Runway at Sky Harbor

What we're saying is, Anderson drove into the airfield at Sky Harbor airport, and started driving on a runway.
According to Sky Harbor Deputy Aviation Director Deborah Ostreicher, an employee was in the middle of some routine testing on an airfield security gate around 9:45 p.m. yesterday, and while the gate was closing, police say Anderson crashed her '97 Saturn right on through.
Ostreicher says Federal Aviation Administration employees in the control tower immediately stopped all the air traffic, and Anderson was caught by the cops within minutes.
Phoenix police Sergeant Trent Crump says Anderson did make it out to a runway, but her run came to an end after police gave her a tap with the ol' PIT maneuver.
Police didn't find out that there was a 2-month-old in the car until after this, but firemen checked out both Anderson and her son, and neither appeared to be injured.
Ostreicher says no planes were taking off or landing in the area at that time, and Crump says airport operations were put on halt for about 15 minutes.
Ostreicher adds that the airfield's security system "worked as it should," and Anderson probably wouldn't have made it out there had workers not been out there testing the gate.
According to court documents obtained by New Times, Anderson also took out a porta-potty.
"Fortunately construction crew not using," a probable-cause statement notes.
Police are under the impression that drugs might be a factor in Anderson's decision to drive her vehicle onto an airport runway.
According to the documents, Anderson did not respond to any of the cops' questions, and said nothing to police "other than she wanted her flip flop," according to court documents.
Anderson was booked into jail on charges of criminal damage and aggravated DUI with a passenger under the age of 15.
