Merry Christmas!

In case anyone was worried, we can indeed confirm that Santa (yes, kids, the real one) will be back at Scottsdale Gun Club this year with his machine guns.

According to the shooting range's blog, the jolly fat man will be there on November 17 and December 2. They also upped the price five bucks over last year.

As you may recall, this same event last year ended up being a really successful publicity stunt, with most of the news coverage apparently reinforcing a thought that everyone in Arizona's a hillbilly -- like the guy who told ABC News, "Our kids have never touched guns. The little ones have never touched guns. Not until they are 5 years old..."

Arizona is the "Colt Single-Action Army Revolver State," after all -- and the location of a mass shooting involving a congresswoman, and where the federal government gave guns to people to bring to Mexico (some of which were lost, and some of which were found at crime scenes).

Welp, happy holidays.

"and where the federal government gave guns to people to bring to Mexico"  WTF!  The Government did not give "guns to people to bring to Mexico."  Mr. Hendley, you are a poor excuse for a journalist - the program of trying identify the networks of people who were smuggling guns into Mexico and which was started in the Bush Administration only tracked purchasers of guns from the US into Mexico.  Numerous people who were doing this were prosecuted and had the US Government put MORE resources into the program, I believe a real dent may have been made in the smuggling operations actively operating still today.  The program was necessarily clandestine and the traitors who exposed our government's secrets should be prosecuted as such.  You are kinda like Faux news - your readers are dumber for having read this article!

Again - no guns were given to people to bring to Mexico by the Gunwalker program and other variants.  You should get your facts straight Mr. Hendley!

who gives a shit that we love our guns? mexicans love guns but they're not considered hillbillies. I'm so tired of pussified liberal arizonans complaining about how dumb or backwards we look to the rest of the country. I will always be proud of Arizona, regardless of how crazy our citizens are or the types of laws we enact. It's these things that give our state character and separate us from goddamned new mexico or utah

@azcumsquelcher Yeah, you're so proud - Arizona's like the crazy uncle that diddles his neices and nephews when their parents are gone.  Arpaio saw to that by not investigating those sexual abuse cases.
