Light-Rail Fight Broken Up by Ninja-Wannabe With a Sword (Video)

The light-rail ninja.

From what we can tell from a YouTube video, some men, or boys, engaged in a bout of fisticuffs on the Metro Light Rail earlier this month.

That fight was eventually broken up by an apparent ninja-wannabe -- or maybe an actual ninja, we're not sure what the qualifications are -- who pulled out a friggin' sword.

According to the person who uploaded the video, this happened around 2 a.m. on October 6, at Central Avenue and Camelback Road.

KTAR, which found the video, says police weren't aware of this incident. A Phoenix police spokesman confirmed this to New Times, saying there are no reports around that time or location.

Check out the video below, and notice the genius who tried to grab the blade of the sword:

I have been hearing rumors about the beat downs taking place on late night or early morning rides on the light rail for some time now. While a person brandishing a Samurai sword may be slightly amusing, I fear that if this unacceptable situation of the lack of light rail security and the continued abuse of train passengers continue. The next time might not just be a young man with a Samurai sword. Instead it may be a young man or woman packing a hand gun and they may choose to defend themselves by blasting a few holes in someone..and taking the bully's life and in the process perhaps injuring or killing innocent bystanders..The Phoenix Transit Authority needs to get on top of this and protect the passengers riding on the light rail from being physically assaulted before citizens take it upon themselves to do so..

so while Joe is running around chasing dishwashers, carwashers and landscapers......you know to keep us safe from the foreign threat of cheap labor. there are people running around on public transit with swords. ....and doing the job of the police? no wonder over 400 sex crimes were uninvestigated in El Mirage, the light rail doesnt go that far
