John Phillips, the kind of guy who wears a G-string in public.
Wearing a G-string in public as an 82-year-old man might not be a crime, but showing off what's under that G-string to a 14-year-old girl sure is.

That's what the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is saying Fountain Hills resident John Phillips did on Monday, while he was hanging out near the Salt River.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the 14-year-old girl was near the river when she told her mother that an "old man" in a G-string swimsuit had just flashed his penis at her.

Deputies responded to the Phon D Sutton campground near the river, and probably didn't have a whole lot of suspects to choose from.

Phillips -- a product of the Roaring Twenties -- was arrested at the campground. He faces two counts of public sexual indecency.

We're checking with the Sheriff's Office on the details, so we'll report back if there's any extra info.

Phillips doesn't appear to have a criminal record in Arizona, according to court records.

Deport John Phillips and give his citizenship to some educated, ambitious young immigrant.

this gentleman was just minding his own business, sitting in the great outdoors, airing out his turkey neck. there's no law against men's g-strings (thankfully) and I'd bet john cuts quite a dashing figure in his butt floss.

Dooley needs to stay in HIS country and make opinions there and stay out of ours!  Clean cuts or otherwise has no bearing on OUR USA laws.  I wish I knew the facts better.  Most people and children have cell phones with camera's.  Was a picture taken for proof?  I agree with the she said, he said, until further evidence.

Had this happened in Pinal County, Babeu would have advised his dispatcher that he was taking the call.

i know MR dooley might disagree with me but, here goes, sounds more like a modern version of the  "Salem Witch Trials"..but of course back then, children never lie do they? now granted, he was in a G string, would it make any difference if he wore a speedo(that is gross also), but besides the point, so you basically have a "he said, she said", but of course, the child is not lying, is she?...just taking the "legal" point of view, no "proof" like another person seeing this also? did he have a history of "flashing" or we are to believe this is just "the first time", i am not going to send anybody to jail unless proven guilty. but sadly, i would let him go because if found INNOCENT later, that is why we have "proof" in this country, yes, i would let a guilty man go free, because finding out later that this "innocent, little girl" was lying(remember no proof, just cause I said so) would be even worse...sometimes the only choice is the lesses of two evils
