Yet again, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says detectives found someone on Craigslist ready and willing to have sex with a dog.

This time, it's 47-year-old James Naylor, who was allegedly looking for some "hung tops" on the website, but said he was "willing to try [a] hung K9" too.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, this investigation has been going on since June 16, when Naylor posted the ad titled, "Bottom need hung tops -- M4M -- 40 (Mesa)."

In the bottom of the post, Naylor added, "Willing to try hung K9 4 fun too," according to a probable-cause statement.

A detective from MCSO's animal crimes unit started emailing back-and-forth with Naylor, which continued until yesterday, according to the documents.

Eventually, the detective "made arrangements to meet with Naylor at hotel for the purpose of Naylor having sex with a dog," the documents state.

Naylor told the detective he'd be showing up to the Quality Inn & Suites hotel in Mesa wearing an Arizona State University t-shirt, and sure enough, MCSO says Naylor showed up in a yellow ASU wrestling tee.

After his arrest, Naylor admitted being the one who was corresponding with the detective via e-mail, but said "he was curious and that he was just there to watch," according to the court documents.

The arresting detective notes in the court documents that "none of his emails mentioned just watching."

When Naylor was confronted about the pair of condoms in his pocket, the detective writes that "he insisted that he had been carrying them with him for nearly a year because he had not had sex with his wife for approximately a year."

Naylor faces one count of conspiracy to commit bestiality, and became the sixth person since February 2011 to be arrested by MCSO for trying to find a hot dog on Craigslist.

Craigslist can also expect a third angry letter from Sheriff Joe Arpaio, as he usually asks the company's CEO to somehow prevent people who want to have sex with dogs from posting on the site.

"The Sheriff has made animal abuse one of his top priorities including the enforcement of humans having sex with dogs," MCSO says in a press release.

Sheriff Arpaio created this crime as one of his usual publicity seeking stunts.  He’s got deputies  watching Craig’s list for people asking for weird things like this that nobody will provide anyway.  So the Sheriff steps in and offers the means to commit the crime.  Then, after he’s trapped the guy, there are the TV cameras.

How’s this for an idea.  Instead of generating bizarre crimes so you can arrest people and get on TV, how about investigating crimes that have occurred without the Sheriff’s help?  The 432 uninvestigated sex crimes come to mind, of course, but if he runs out of those, how about thefts?

The current policy is to investigate no cases of theft.  Just give the citizen a case number and let him report it to his insurance company.  No need for forensics, fingerprints, tracking, looking at security camera tapes, identifying and talking to potential witnesses, etc.  And our Sheriff handles all these thefts over the phone – so efficient and environmentally friendly. $10,000 thefts? $50,000 thefts?  $100,000 thefts?  One size fits all.   Maricopa: safe for thieves, child molesters, rapists, etc., but not safe for maids and dog molesters.  Is this a great County, or what?  What??

Imagine how many fewer victims there might have been if the MCSO shurf would have treated human child sexual assaults with the same priority with which he seems to treat beastiality. Honestly, what is mentally wrong with a guy who seems to put animal victimization at a higher priority than humans?

It is good Arpaio is prosecuting this sicko.  If Arpaio should be blasted for prosecuting bestiality cases, why should he be blasted for supposedly not prosecuting unsolved sex cases involving people?  Geez!

Maybe MCSO is just hoping to have sex with a dog.

Let's see here, MCSO's priorities are a)- dog sex, and b)- persecuting Mexicans. Murder, rape, robbery, fraud, and political demagoguery aren't even misdemeanors by any legal stretch.

Only in Maricopastan.

Well it seems gonzo joblow nailed another of his buddies, has the resources to hunt down dogF*****s but not time or resources for child molesters and pedophiles.............Something is wrong here , can anyone tell me what that is?

So,

If you molest a dog, Hoe's gonna get you.

If you molest a woman or a child in El Mirage, not so much.

@Tommy_Collins and then at the same time what crime did this guy actually commit? solicitation of sex with a dog? (I am sure he is guilty of something, but what about actual victims of crimes LIKE the 400 kids abused in El Mirage? ) And btw how would the soliciting of a dog for sex and not getting it be any different than all of the PRO- kiddie porn people on this blog?

"The Sheriff has made animal abuse one of his top priorities including the enforcement of humans having sex with dogs," MCSO says in a press release.

When will we see a press release saying the same about child sex crimes?

Tommy,  Your comment is spot on.  There is more publicity for the Sheriff from dog sex than from child rape.  Both are wrong, completely!  But until child sex crimes can be cleared up and under control, those officers/deputies are needed elsewhere.

@Tommy_Collins I was just using that as an example.  I ask why does everybody think that bestiality should not be prosecuted???  Because you are just as sick as the people they arrest for that.  I do agree however that human victimization is more of a priority but because bestiality is illegal, it should be prosecuted.  Why would you think differently?

@JoeArpaioFanThe MCSO shurf doesn't have anything to do with prosecution. That's the job of the county attorney. However, it IS his job to make sure that all criminal acts reported to MCSO be thoroughly investigated and those responsible be charged with such criminal act(s). He chose to take investigators away from their direct assignments and put them on immigration violations enforcement tasks, instead of handling the reported crimes where there actually were human victims. Thus, he criticism. Read the book by Bill Louis, "If there were any victims". Then see if you honestly can continue to he a fan of the shurf.

@shadeaux14 yup. seems to me like if I WAS a child molester I would move to MC so that way I could get away with it since crimes like man on dog are so much more important. (btw I hope all the idiot trolls out there realize this is SARCASM)

@JoeArpaioFanJAF, I don't recall saying beastiality should not be prosecuted. Conversely, I simply stated that I think his priorities are out of whack, which he demonstrates by making press coverage over this incident, yet he in effect denied that there were victims of sexual assault, just because his investigators didn't do their jobs because his priority was immigration enforcement. Further, the MCSO shurf, in 2005, said that it wasn't the job of county law enforcement to do immigration enforcement.

@Tommy_Collins From what ive read about that, it had something to do with the Dowling investigation and not wanting to ruin their chances of conviction? Something about a sergeant that was involved in that....??

@Tommy_Collins maybe. Although I am not afraid to run my mouth (or in this case type a lot) It's funny cause I actually am almost never mad when I am on here. A few people have annoyed me, but I dont care.

@DOOLEYSweet. I like doing the mountain bike trails just south of the Dillingham Gliderport. There's a great trail that starts a mile or west of the airport and then climbs for about three miles and then east again with some nasty switchbacks down to the airfield. Fourteen miles total. For when the water is flat...

@JoeArpaioFan wouldnt that be MCSO? Since after all they do the regular sweeps for illegals WHILE they fucking ignore sex crimes that were their responsibility to INVESTIGATE. What does prosecution have to do with anything? They have to be caught and apprehended before they can be brought to trial.
