Dirtbags Steal Two Donation Jars With Funds for 7-Year-Old Girl With Cancer

Scumbags stole from this little girl, Dakota Clark.
For the second time in less than a month, some dirtbag has stolen a donation jar intended for a 7-year-old San Tan Valley girl who has cancer.

Pinal County Sheriff's Office spokesman Elias Johnson tells New Times that two different people stole the jars from Walgreens stores, although it's possible the two people are working together.

"It's two separate incidents, two different people, but the same sad story," he says.

According to a donation website set up by her family, Dakota Clark has Burkitt's Lymphoma, a type of cancer, and has gone through several rounds of chemotherapy since May.

The first jar was stolen from a counter at a Walgreens store on July 22, and the other was taken from a Walgreens about three miles away on August 9.

Johnson says the first guy probably made off with a couple hundred bucks, while the other didn't get away with much -- Dakota's father had emptied it out the day before.

The second theft took just seconds, so Johnson says it's likely that the guy saw it full of money the day before, then came back the next day to steal it.

A photo of Dakota is displayed on the outside of both jars, as well as the purpose of the funds.

Dakota's family uses the money to cover their food expenses.

Even though it doesn't get much scummier than stealing from a little girl with cancer, Johnson says the men would probably be charged with simple theft, since they took less than $1,000.

If you know either of the dirtbags pictured below, feel free to inform the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, by calling 520-866-5111.

Hey, it's the only way Pearce can get campaign funds.

Simply put the jars back in the same spot but watch it closely.  The thieves will return, I can almost guarantee it.  And when they do its time to show them what vigilante street justice is all about.

You've got it all wrong.  It's the flip flops.  The guy in the top photo is wearing flip flops.  You can never trust a guy wearing flip flops.  Flip flops are EVIL.

How low does one have to be to steal money from a 7 year old who has cancer?

This makes me sick.

@MaskedMagician1967 it happens all the time. I remember many years ago a thief would steal the money from the "Have a penny" jar and the Special Olympics jars.. at local gas stations in the town I used to live in before I lived here. The thief stole around $10,000 dollars before he was finally caught.
