Sheriff Arpaio's Most Ridiculous Moments of 2012 (Thus Far)

From an authoritative book review on a book he never actually read to backlash from a cockfight with Steven Seagal, it's been a busy first six months of 2012 for Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. With the Fourth of July upon us, it's only right that we honor this self-anointed American hero with a list of Arpaio's Top 5 Ridiculous Moments of 2012 (Thus Far...).

5. Arpaio Finds Abandoned Truck Full of Weed, Implies Illegals Did It

Back in April, the sheriff's office found an empty pick-up truck full of marijuana. Without any arrests made, Arpaio issued a press release concerning the incident, in which he announced that the sheriff's office would be launching a "drug and illegal alien crime suppression operation," -- a subtle or not-so-subtle implication that illegal immigrants were to blame for the person-less truck loaded with weed.

That happened because Arpiehole had pee running down his leg and all over the chair of the witless stand. Arpiehole had forgotten to change his diaper before the questioning had begun. Clearly this was the first of the don't remember/recall incidents. He also forgot his Alzheimer's medication.

Tough choice because every day there is something new. I heard that a dog whizzed on Arpaio's leg the other day. Maybe the dog should get a community award for cleaning up corruption.

The MOST disconnected and mis-remembered Sheriff with 6 terms under his belt, Remember this crock? Under questioning by Clarisse McCormick, an attorney for the county who was defending Fox's firing, Arpaio said he was unaware of the situation and left many management duties to former Chief Deputy David Hendershott."I wasn't involved in those intricacies of that whole situation," Arpaio said. "I didn't talk to Joel Fox about any situation because I wanted to separate myself from an independent expenditure."He said he delegated many duties to Hendershott because he had confidence in him and that he "very seldom opposed his recommendations" when it came to personnel matters.Arpaio answered many questions by saying he couldn't remember the situation or even whether Hendershott or anyone else told him that the Sheriff's Command Association gave about $100,000 in contributions from top-ranking sheriff's managers and wealthy businessmen to the Arizona Republican Party.

And so Hendershott up and walks out of his beautiful house that he left filthy dirty, and gave it back to the bank. Then builds another one????

There's a boatload of ridiculous comedic caricatured moments of the octogenarian fool. But the ones mentioned above are the highlights. Also, he never actually did read his own book: "Joe's Law". I don't know what this 80 year old lawman reads nowadays. I'm pretty sure he's still reading the Bible.
