Joe Arpaio's Craigslist Bestiality Case Nets Three Guilty Pleas

All three people accused of using Craigslist to find a dog to "fornicate" with have pleaded guilty.

The charges stem from Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's latest Craigslist bestiality case, in which a detective responded to a post on the website looking for a dog for sexual purposes, and the three people showed up to a predetermined location to meet the undercover MCSO detective and his male Golden Shepherd mix.

Robert Aucker pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bestiality in late March, while Shane and Sarah Walker pleaded guilty this morning to the same charge.

After the bust in late February, Arpaio looked for attention on this one, writing a letter to Craigslist's CEO about the bust, and telling the public, "People who do this for enjoyment are a different breed, that's for certain."

MCSO didn't give the case too much attention after last month, as Sarah Walker claimed she was sexually assaulted by self-described "sex pig" Lee Lubonne.

Walker told New Times that when she found out what she was being charged with, she asked one of the deputies whether he'd be feeding the story to the media.

"He put his hands up and said, 'Well it won't be me that puts it in the news,'" Walker said.

Arpaio and company did end up giving some information on the case to the media, then last month, Lubonne contacted Walker through her website under the guise of wanting to hire her as a professional photographer, and they eventually met at a west Valley coffee shop.

"They talked for about a half-hour and during this conversation, he brought up the bestiality case and asked her questions about it," court documents state. "She diverted the questions back to the photography and he told her that he wanted to do the shoot at his residence."

Walker said she was brutally sexually assaulted after going to do the photo shoot, and eventually got away by telling her alleged attacker, Lubonne, that her ankle monitor would lead the cops straight to him.

Walker told New Times it was "no coincidence" that the alleged assault happened after Arpaio made media headlines about the bestiality case, and court documents obtained by New Times seemed to support her claim that Lubonne knew who she was from the media attention.

As for the bestiality case, Aucker's plea agreement included leaving the conviction as an undesignated felony -- meaning it could be dropped down to a misdemeanor at some point -- and he was sentenced to two years of probation, which may be an indication of what the Walkers will get at their August 9 sentencing.

Totally agree!! What crime was friggin committed here. The only one I see is the unfair profit of the media at all the partie's expense...and also walker's rape. Very sad. And yes...no abuse on the animal when its a male dog/female human. Quite the opposite in fact. lol

Were you there and did you watch all of these terrible things happen? Do more than read a government run wiki page the next time you present this horse shit. I want to see credible sources, youtube videos, sworn affidavits What do you think the chances of surviving while being locked up in a mexican prison? Mexico is only one of the most corrupt places on the entire globe. You'll be living in mexico before you know it. They are going to make this country just like theirs...just you wait.

You are beating a dead horse with the racism angle. It's pathetic. Stupid liberals are all out of logical arguments and must resort to the race card. Never mind those Hispanics taking advantage of this country. They already get free health care on the tax payers dime, file income taxes with their TIN numbers resulting in over $10,000 refunds for claiming children in MEXICO...oh by the way did I mention they broke the law to get here in the first place? At least present some facts the next time you feel like writing your little drivels. If you care so much for rude people who don't give a shit about you then why don't you take the next step and start your own little help the mexicans organization?

perverts go after children, women and those who are the weakest in society, I am glad that Sheriff Joe is going after all law breakers.  Guess with all the harrassment he is getting about doing his job and focussing on enforcment that he decided he needed a breather from naysayers and those who don't get unlawful is unlawful, we don't get to pick and chose.

Another political stunt by the sheriff -- who doesn't care whose lives and families he destroys. SOP Arizona.

Really?  What I said was, I don't need probable cause to stop and talk to you.  Get a grip lil fella.

come say that to my face, in Yavapai county. And btw yes you do need probably cause to arrest me. Stop mixing up posts you moron. that was a different discussion, exactly like a republican trying to muddy up the water so everyone forgets what you actually said.

in the Joke's eyes criminals who have been arrested and not even become criminals yet (after all if you are in jail USUALLY you are put there while you await trial (unless you post bail of course) so they aren't even technically criminals yet!) are worse than dogs and deserve to have less money spent on them then dogs rescued by the insane sheriff. BTW at one point after his deputies started someone's house on fire with their AFV they cause the families dog to run into the fire since they chased it into the inferno... So really he even doesn't like dogs either.

nope I remember it quite clearly in a discussion about probably cause when you stated that you don't have to have it to arrest people. And I seem to remember you saying to could even arrest me if you wanted to in Yavapai county, since I was too stupid to realize that county deputies can arrest anyone they want in any county.  Of course you forget that. Idiots like you always forget your threats. It's fine, I am still here and not going anywhere, whether you like it or not.

...and if Aucker was the only one who communicated with the detective, how did the detective coheres the Walkers? Also, as in every other open class 6 sentencing hearing, the judge has the latitude to designate it a misdemeanor at sentencing. It rarely happens. Leaving it open gives the offender something to encourage a successful completion of probation.

It rarely happens? It definitely happens when there's a good argument that they dont deserve a class six off the bat, or maybe, in cases where the judge thinks they got screwed too.  I'll bet you the two get off with misdemeanors. They had a different prosecutor too...wonder what that's about.  If the pleas were the "same", and yet they net a misdemeanor at sentencing, I think that pretty much seals the deal of who was more guilty...in this case, and if the walkers just wanted the circus over and judge gives them a break.BTW innocent people are pushed into pleas all the time. No public defender wants to go to trial.

Duh. The detective didn't need to inform the walkers. Aucker did it for him. At least thats how I read the police report. Aucker places ad, goes back and forth for weeks with detective, informs walkers, all show up, boom.
