Andrew Thomas Is Now Carrying Around Piece of Wood, Pretending He's a Movie Character

Disbarred and apparently delusional ex-Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas still is trying to play the everyone's-corrupt-except-me card, and he's carrying around a piece of wood and pretending he's a movie character in his attempt to prove it.

One would expect that after being pegged as corrupt by just about everyone -- and an independent panel agreed that Thomas abused his power -- that he'd hang his head in a press conference afterward and then get out of the public spotlight.

If something sounds logical, don't expect Thomas to do it.

Several people pointed out a 12 News interview with Thomas, where he explained he's now carrying around a piece of wood like Buford Pusser in the movie Walking Tall.

Funny, because Buford Pusser, "Candy" Thomas sure ain't!

Thomas says he's trying to prove a point that "we're gonna need to, uh, be serious about cleaning up the corruption in this community."

Note to Andrew Thomas: that's what your friggin' Supreme Court disciplinary proceedings and ultimate disbarment were for.

Thomas was trying to explain that all the judges around town are corrupt, as part of some "inbred" culture, and he was asked whether the appeals process was supposed to take care of -- among other things -- disagreements with judges.

Thomas puts on the maniacal grin to explain that the whole world's out to get people like him, but quickly washes the smile off his face, likely after he realized how goofy he was sounding.

Reporter Joe Dana somehow got through that entire segment without going on a tirade about how moronic Thomas was acting, but literally had his eyebrows raised a few times while explaining that no one with knowledge of the situation is on Thomas' side.
