Wil Cardon Surges in the Polls Against Jeff Flake! (It Still Looks Like a Steamrolling)

Wil Cardon's likely reaction to today's poll.
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Wil Cardon's trailing fellow Republican Jeff Flake by 22 points in the latest poll of the primary race for the seat being opened by Senator Jon Kyl, and believe it or not, that's good news for Cardon.

After getting four percent of support in a poll in November, to 7 percent in February, Cardon now has 20 percent of support from people who answered the phone call from Public Policy Polling last week.

Flake's still up big, though, leading Cardon 42-20.

With one-third of the people polled still undecided, Cardon appears to have some sort of a shot.

Still, Flake's still dominating him for the most part.

Strangely enough, even though Cardon's been trying to appeal to the ultra-right-wingers in his campaign, the people who told PPP that they're "very conservative" liked Flake over Cardon 51-21.

On the other hand, the pollsters seem to think this is good news for Cardon.

"The big story in Arizona is Wil Cardon chopping more than 20 points off Jeff Flake's lead in the primary," PPP President Dean Debnam says in a release from the pollsters. "This race is starting to show some of the upset potential that has characterized many Republican Senate primaries over the last two cycles."

As for the prospect of facing off against Democrat Richard Carmona, Flake leads 48-35, and Cardon leads 46-35.

Once this primary is settled and folks see Dr. Carmona for who he is and what he has accomplished it won't matter who the Republican candidate is.

However, I will agree that Cardon seems to be a fallen nut from the Pearce tree and that alone will kill him in the primary against Jeff Flake. Cardon doesn't seem to recognize the damage Pearce did to himself in the recall last year, and the resulting election, by bandstanding on the illegal immigration issue.

Voters want politicians who can think outside the laser sights of myopic political aggrandizement. We want our representatives to actually be able to read and understand our written word and we want them to be able to translate that into working law. Law that is fair applicable to all.

I don't see Cardon as being that person, anymore than Pearce is/was. Perhaps Mr. Cardon needs to look at photos of Jason Todd Ready with red hair to see who he really is.

JT also idolized Pearce at one time.

So how much of Slick Willie's campaign money is coming from out of state? Seems like everytiime you turn on the TV the red headed puppet is on there touting the rule of law. Makes you wonder who's hand is up where controlling him?

The militia folks in Arizona and around America are domestic terrorists and hopefully the DHA will start infiltrating them like they did during the Reagan era.  When you say "ultra-right wing" you do mean Nazis, Klansman and Identity Movement people don't you?

Let's not forget, Cardon is Russell Pearce's "kind of man."  That means Cardon is definitely not right for Arizona.

Wil Cardon is a totally arrogant douchebag, i.e., Russell Pearce's kind of guy.  The phrase, "Born on third, thinks he hit a triple," comes to mind when one thinks of Cardon.
