This just gets to me -- because I know that Arpaio is corrupt -- yet clearly Obama is beyond power hungry and corrupt as well. I honestly believe -- based on everything the birthers have brought forward, including the latest literary agent biography from 1991 that says Obama used to market himself as born in Kenya (come on?) -- that there is enough to really take a good look at this. Yet when people do look at it and find all these irregularities, other people -- instead of debunking the findings point by point just reduce themselves to name calling "birthers" "quacks" or they are "smoking crack." Like friggen children.

Obviously the evidence does not jive here -- Hawaii keeps certifying that they have something, yet what Obama produces is not it? What in the heck is going on here?? This is the President -- a public figure in whom we are to trust -- when he hides his life (in records) and then produces obviously manipulated PDF files -- what are we to make of it? No one denies that those PDF files have anomalies, and everyone seems to want to justify them -- but they are right there for everyone to see -- not very reassuring when the evidence continues to mount that we know very little about this President.

Now Arpaio (whom I dislike with a passion) takes the banner of going forward -- which we all know why? He is doing his -- well you are investigating me so I'm going to investigate you routine, which totally detracts from a serious inquiry that I think needs to be made. Arpaio should not be the one to do it, but no one else will touch it because they don't want to get the birther label -- its ridiculous. Arpaio is doing it because he believes he has been backed into a corner, but any of his findings are tainted by the prosecution the Obama administration is doing against him. Are there no adults left with cojones?

PDF files have nothing to do with the president's birth certificate. The scanned copy that is on the White House website has been verified as the document Hawai'i released.

The Full Faith & Credit Clause of the US Constitution guarantees that when a state makes a verification, all other states and the federal government are bound by that proof, and indeed it is conclusive and self-authenticating proof in every court of law.

So if you're not smoking crack, ask yourself why it is that you won't accept President Obama's American citizenship. Is it because you don't like having someone different than you in office?

Yes, I thought it was over too when Hawaii certified it the first time -- but there is just more and more evidence mounting. What are we to believe now? I thought the Hawaiian certification -- mind you -- Hawaii is not actually providing a certified copy though -- they are just certifying that they have a record of his birth. I think there has been enough hoopla over this whole thing to warrant the disclosure of a true certified copy -- I honestly think that is what is going to take. Hawaii simply keeps producing letters saying that they certify to have a record of it, but where is it? At the end of the day, these certifications are being created by elected politicians.

Now -- come on? You are just saying that. No certified copy has been released... the PDF file is an obviously manipulated doc. There have been so many debunkers of that -- so many people with extensive experience manipulating images that have come forward, it's frankly a joke to see someone defend it based on what they read on the news.

I used to accept it -- for the longest time, but the controversy is not dying down and more evidence keeps mounting that this man was marketing himself with his agent as born in Kenya -- should I just shut my eyes and say -- no but he said he was born in Hawaii and that's good enough for me. It used to be -- but the avalanche of controverting evidence goes on and on. His need to keep every single one of his records secret is quite troubling, too. Even his senate records are not being disclosed? For a public figure? What gives? At some point, as much as you want to ignore the birther thing, Obama's own response to this raises the suspicion further.

And I just love the reference to racism -- it's getting old, don't you think? I whole heartedly supported Obama in '08 -- this has nothing to do with racism, simply with putting an issue to bed that should have been done a long time ago. Be it because of race of not -- it shouldn't matter -- to me (personally) this is about dotting the "i's" and crossing the "t's." Not about him being "different" whatever that means -- he is clearly just like Bush or worse. The bottom line is that a great section of the population does not trust this president. His extra secrecy does not help his case either -- people are simply losing faith in a government that believes the people shouldn't ask questions.
