Does Trent Franks Need to Stop Worrying About Regulating Abortions in Washington D.C.?

Congressman Trent Franks
Congressman Trent Franks -- the "self-appointed Mayor" of Washington D.C., as an area advocacy group calls him -- had his office protested last week, as his new-found "constituents" aren't quite happy with the job he's doing.

As you may recall, a group called "DC Vote" isn't quite pleased Franks -- the Arizona Congressman -- is taking it upon himself to try to tell the District of Columbia what its laws ought to be. (Of course, Franks' bill is for tighter abortion regulations.)

DC Vote decided to invite their new "mayor" to head up a constituent service day to address other problems in the District, but the group informed us Franks didn't play ball.

DC Vote says more than 50 residents showed up with their concerns, but Franks locked the doors to his office.

The group wanted Franks to help out with pot holes, broken street and traffic lights, issues with street signs, problems with trash/recycling pick-up, permit issues, problems with car registration, the need for bike lanes, and other issues the constituents felt were more important to them than Franks' attempt to limit abortions past 20 weeks in the District.

Although we've provided maps on this blog of the area Franks was sent to Washington to represent, the District of Columbia just so happens to fall thousands of miles outside of that zone.

This morning's question: Does Franks need to stop worrying about regulating abortions in Washington D.C.?

He's just another lying, two faced, worthless politician with a God complex, and too stupid to see what an idiot he is.

Trent Franks still needs to answer for his ex-girl friend he knocked up  a few years ago.  He paid for her abortion and then dropped her.

Hey, is that true? If it is, the Dem who opposes him in November sure can
beat him over the head with it.

If the people of Franks' district insist on sending a Republican to Congress, they might as well send one as ineffective as Trent.  Being assigned to the committee on DC is the equivalent of being picked last for schoolyard sports teams.

Washington needs to stay out of a womans uterus, sexual preference, bedrooms, the kitchen and your healthcare.
