Maricopa County Supervisors Decide Not to Fund Appeals, If Any, for Andrew Thomas and Rachel Alexander

Andrew Thomas can't rely on taxpayers to fund an appeal of his disbarment order, if he files one.

Disbarred former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas can no longer rely on taxpayers to pick up his legal fees.

The Board of Supervisors decided yesterday during executive session not to fund Thomas' appeal of his disbarment, should he file one, county spokeswoman Cari Gerchick says.

His former underling, Rachel Alexander, would also have to fend for herself if she chooses to appeal her law-license suspension.

Lisa Aubuchon filed an appeal of her disbarment on Friday, but the county wasn't paying for her defense in the state Supreme Court disciplinary proceedings. Her pro-bono lawyer is Ed Moriarity, of Montana.

Maricopa County reportedly has paid hundreds of thousands to defend both Thomas and Aubuchon in the past, however.

We've put in a request with the county to find out the grand total of legal fees paid by taxpayers to Thomas, Aubuchon and Alexander.

Still no word on whether the Board of Supervisors decided yesterday to approve a $1 million settlement for Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox.

Still no word in if the Board of Supervisors will approve Board of Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox's 1million dollar settlement against the County she works for. Weird.
Has this woman earned a legitimate dollar in her entire life? She steals from Chicanos Por la Casa whom she is a representative of and steals from maricopa county where she sits as a supervisor. She owns an illegal resturaunt in the airport where she doesn't meet the necessary special needs to qualify for...

This woman is trash from the word go.

Candy Andy will need that porn star moustache to make it through his life sentence in federal prison once the feds get the criminal indictments handed up.

This calls for a celebration.

Shots for everyone. I have Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, Absolut Vodka, Jack Daniels, and Johnnie Walker Blue Label. I also have beer. Sam Adams, Dos Equis, and Tecate.

Also, pick a song and I will play it... Let me know...

This is good to hear.  Also, it would be the decent thing to do for Wilcox just to drop her
suit against the people, which is against us, the hard working people of this county, the
ones who pay her salary.  If she does not and pockets money from us, she need not
ever run for any office again, she will not be elected.  Enough is enough.

I wonder YPS, were you the detective working on the bogus case against Wilcox?

Judge Leonardo ruled in 2010 that Candy Andy and the Miscreants as well as your own delusional boss the MCSO shurf prosecuted Wilcox for political reasons.

Gila County Attorney Daisy Flores ruled in 2011 that Wilcox's transgressions, stupid as they may be, did not rise to the level of crimes.

Wilcox is the only Democrat, the only woman and the only Hispanic member of the MCBOS.

Not being a dick here, but if someone went after you the way Candy Andy and the Miscreants as well as the Flaccid Fraud did, and you were found to be innocent of all wrongdoing, wouldn't you sue the county as the government entity as well?

Nope and nope. Can you imagine the fallout that would occur if every person who was found not guilty (or in Wilcox's case, charges were dismissed) had the ability to sue for damages? It would demolish the justice system.

There is credible evidence showing Wilcox's indiscretions. She deserves no monetary compensation.
