Could Joe Arpaio's "Birther" Investigation Get Any More Loony?

Well, wouldn't you know it -- Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's "birther" investigation has gotten worse.

Mailman Allen Hulton -- who was only identified as a "retired government employee" at the "birther" press conference -- has taken an oath swearing that Ayers' mother told him about a "foreign, black" student at her home, and that guy with the "unusual foreign sounding name" hinted to him some time in the '90s that he had a "prearranged" presidency.

Of course, when then-candidate Barack Obama was campaigning for president, Hulton says he remembered that guy from year unknown as that foreigner who may have had his presidency "prearranged."

And as the conspiracy theory grows and grows -- it appears to be just a couple steps away from involving alien abductions -- it's all in Arpaio's name.

Arpaio's claimed he actually thinks the president's birth certificate is fake, and has called for a "bi-partisan congressional investigation."

Hulton never actually met Ayers, he says, but his father just so happened to speak "like a Marxist and talked about the class struggle between the rich and poor" while he was putting mail in his mailbox.

Then some time in the "early 1990s," Mary Ayers -- Bill Ayers' mother -- said she was "impressed with a foreign, black student."

"I do not recall from what country she said he was," the affidavit says. "I recall that the student had an unusual, foreign sounding name. Mary stated Thomas Ayers was helping this student through school financially."

Some time after that -- "I am not sure of the exact period of time," he says -- Hulton claims a black guy with an "unusual, foreign sounding name" introduced himself.

"He stated during the conversation the male stated that he was 'going to be' President
of the United States," Hulton swears. "I was taken aback by this statement because he came across as if his presidency was prearranged."

Of course, in a later interview with Arpaio's conspiracy pals at World Net Daily, the mailman claims young Obama told him he was either from Kenya or Indonesia.

This morning's question: Could Arpaio's "birther" investigation actually get more loony?

OK - Has Arpaio completely lost his damn mind??? I'm getting sick and tired of hearing about this nut bag old man chasing fairy tails while REAL crimes (murder, rape etc) go unsolved or even investigated.  I just love hearing about his "men" busting 3 illegals working at mcdonalds while 400+ child abuse and rape cases are left untouched.  LOOSER!
