Is Sylvia Allen's Plan For The "Arizona Guard" Really A Good Idea?

• Ya don't suppose the anarchists and other red radicals would join this to get a little military training and maybe a chance to steal weapons?

• Amendment to legislation:   Every member of the legislature who votes in favor of this bill agrees to receive the same training as the militia AND agrees to spend a minimum of 6 months full-time patrolling the border.  Legislators will camp in tents at the border during their tour of duty in order to better understand what they have approved.

• Yeah, plus it's all they have to run on at election time, at least here in Arizona. They don't want illegal immigration to abate, being tough on illegals wins elections.

• Just think of all the useful purposes and worthy programs that hack Allen could spend that $1 million on. It's pathetically outrageous to see that $1 million being flush down the toilet.

• Allen does not give a shit about border control. Just her chance to Grandstand and try to make some points, could be she sees herself as the next Gov Has Did.

• Ms Allen should use her political clout to push the "real" law enforcement agencies to do something about the Cartels and human smugglers. Perhaps, if Joe Arpaio put as much work and time into them as he does investigating a couple maids or pipe fitters we could see tangible results. Instead he hires them as DO's. Perhaps, if Paul Babeu could put as much effort into them as he does his Congressional race and his begging for money there might be some difference. Perhaps if either would actually apply our Employer Sanctions laws to - hold on, this may sound crazy - Employers, we would see results. After all, we did spend a ton of money putting this through to the Supreme Court. And they've signed off on it. To me, this is like having Tom Brady as your quarterback and then dumping a ton of money into signing Peyton Manning...you have the tools you need when you use them correctly and efficiently (with apologies to Tom Brady and Peyton Manning).  This is the definition of insanity.

• Maybe State Senator Allen should pressure her fellow Republicans who are in Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform.  But I guess its better have the "issue" alive and well and to spend $1 million of tax payer money on something than public education.

• Sylvia was told by the Officer in Charge for the AZ National Guard aout his concerns arming perople without the appropriate level of training. That's a clear warning that choosing a group of individuals who are hell bent on firing rounds at someone because they are brown is one f*ed up idea. Of course, she only cares because her and her big ass boufant hair lives in Snowflake. She's just another example of this state's legislature inability to focus on real problems and instead, dreams up issues that are way beyond their ability to solve.
