Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu's Ex-Boyfriend Speaks to CNN

• a hypocrite, a bigot has been beautifully exposed for those who still do not believe that situatios like this unfortunately still exist.  It is so sad to witness positions like this in a great nation founded and carried over the back of immigrants from all parts of the world

And you think Pinal County is bad?!

• LOL, Jose is now being accused by the Sheriff with "breaking our laws" which can lead to Jose's deporation, which is exactly what Jose said the Sheriff threatened him with if he exposed the Sheriff's secret life. What part of that don't you get?

• The threat to deport didn't come in those text messages. And since the Sheriff is now asking that Jose be investigated for criminal activity that could result in Jose's deportation it appears that in fact the Sheriff is doing exactly what Jose said he was threatened with, trying to get Jose deported for exposing the Sheriff's seedy underbelly of deceit. 

• Jose passed Paul's oral exam for the job.

• Even if jose is here legally, the fact that he is from another country and one whose members are looked down upon by many repubs still could leave him open to harassment if babeu knows anyone in the INS who might do so. Jose could be set up for a felony and be deported, there are a number of avenues babeu could utilize to cause his ex trouble with his status in the usa and lead to his deportation... On the other hand what exactly does he have to gain by coming forward?... Fleeting 15 minutes of fame, the spotlight of the INS, etc. So i am trying to understand why i am getting the impression that many people feel that if jose is here legally he is lying... Doesnt make much sense or add up for me.

• I will say this - I am amazed that the rudimentary command of the English language that "Jose" demonstrates would not qualify him to run any of my websites, blogs or Twitter accounts if I were running for office. That part is confusing to me.

• I doubt that "Jose" is surprised that he is in the middle of this maelstrom. I wish the gay and GOP bashing would stop on this thread. Issues can be debated without debasement of anyone.

• "you will not have business..." presumably web crafting... This is a threat to deport?? It is shameful how the media just accepts Jose's word as gospel. And, BTW, I consider myself a liberal.

•  This is great news.  Anytime someone in Pinal County politics gets exposed it is a good thing.  This county is corrupt, immoral and run by criminals.  They have prosecuted innocent people and sent them to prison.  They are very bad and unethical people.

• I guess Jose's only talent is developing webs and knowing nothing of U.S. immigration law. If you have a ten year non-immigrant visa that is not expired, you can come and go into the U.S.   for shopping, visiting or pleasure, but not to work or to vote.  No one and I mean no one who is a state or local law enforcement officer can legally deport an illegal alien, he may threaten  to but he legally cannot.  The officer can contact ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) special agents or the Border Patrol to deport him but the state or locals cannot legally do it on his/her own. I'm sure Jose knows that if he is here with a non-expired non-immigrant visa, is not working for a salary in the U.S. or voting or overstaying his visit or breaking our laws he cannot, in any way shape or form be deported.  Jose is totally making this sh** up to get back at the sheriff for dumping him and for a little notoriety.

• The best thing that the hipocrite Babeu can do is resign & save AZ the embarrassment of having yet another criminal masquerading as a "law enforcement officer". Your're as big a joke as the criminal Arpaio. Do AZ citizens a favor & resign............Seems like Paul Babeu would be willing to overlook a males immigration status as long as he could pack their peanut butter & puff their peter. This idiot has no business in any position of authority.He should be sharing a cell with his criminal buddy Arpaio & the sooner the better.

• Babeu should really get checked out by the Health Dept. That is, if he was really being "fast and furious" with an "illegal". According to various far right hate groups like FAIR, CCC, former mainstream network lip-floppers CNN Lou Dobbs and MSNBC Pat Buchanan, have been saying for years that "illegals" bring deadly diseases and filth into our country. Who knows what Babue's been infected with. Whatever it is, he could be a health risk for his Sheriff's Dept. and those who associate with him.

Our three weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... • If he's illegal then why did Babeu hire him? Is there a shortage of US Citizen web developers? Babeu stated that he began working on his campaign as an unpaid volunteer but was eventually moved to paid. Once he became a paid employee he was subject to E Verify. Is the sheriff not complying with state law? Do we want to go down other violations of state and federal laws concerning hiring of illegal immigrants?  Do we want to go down violations of laws in effect from SB1070?

• Deport this illegal, why are we waiting?   This Jose knows he is an illegal, so why is he still in the USA.  Does Arizona not follow the laws for all people?

• That one is good, have to admit, this story is so funny, not because a gay man is exposed but that a hypocrite is exposed!

• I think we need the Westboro Baptist Church to come out here and protest Sheriff Baboon for us. Along with the boat load of right-wing gay bashing hate groupies lurking within the Republican element. Now that Baboon is officially "out of the closet". Who else in the Repugnant Party needs to "come out of the closet"? Or has the Republican Party become the new "LIBERAL" Party????
