Gregg Pfeifer Has a Little Bit of a Stalking Problem

Since July, Phoenix police have received at least 33 reports that Gregg Pfeifer, 35, has been stalking a former girlfriend. He's allegedly made multiple harassing phone calls, drives by the victim's house repeatedly, and has sent several threatening emails.

Early yesterday morning, police say, Pfeifer set the victim's car on fire...again.

According to court records obtained by New Times, the victim had to install a $2,000 video surveillance system to keep an eye on Pfeifer. Early yesterday morning, the cameras rolled as Pfeifer set the victim's car on fire for the second time this year.

About 5 a.m. yesterday, Pfeifer was seen putting a bottle of what apparently was gasoline on the hood of the victim's car, which was parked just three feet from her house, and just underneath a bedroom where a 5-year-old was sleeping. He then set it on fire, and the vehicle went up in flames.

A resident of the home rushed out of the house to try and keep the fire from spreading to the house. That's when he spotted Pfeifer, who fled the scene.

Phoenix fire officials investigated the blaze and determined Pfeifer had bought $1 worth of gasoline at a nearby convenience store minutes before the fire.

Police tracked Pfeifer down at his home later yesterday afternoon. When asked where he was at the time of the fire, Pfeifer told cops he was gambling at the Fort McDowell Casino, despite video surveillance footage showing him start the fire and purchase the gasoline.

The victims currently have three orders of protection against Pfeifer -- and he's apparently not too happy about it.

On his Facebook page, Pfeifer posted the following about the victim and her family: "go FUCK YOURSELVES get a hobby leave me the FUCK alone! Stupid fucking bitches got nothing better to do."

See Pfeifer's Facebook page -- complete with an image with the heading "slavery gets shit done" -- here.

Pfeifer was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on one count of arson, one count of stalking, and six counts of aggravated harassment.

The car was not the victim's car. The car that was torched was a S10 Blazer her boyfriend's car. The first time it was torched it was a 300ZX 1985. Again, her boyfriend's car.

NOW he's in jail?

Stalkers have compulsive behavior which is very difficult to treat. The fact that he could behave in this manner for so long illustrates a problem, either with law enforcement, or with the law itself.

I'm sure if this case gets enough publicity, our esteemed legislature will react by passing some more pro gun legislation so the "Little Lady" can better protect herself.

Stalking= misdemeanor or ignored until it reaches this point.

Smoking a joint in your home= Felony

It's so nice to live in a law&order state????????

Smoking a Doobie in your home is a misdemeanor not a felony. your an uninformed desert hick.

what is worse about these cases is that usually the victims have restraint orders on them, but they just ignore them. Stalkers must have some mental screw loose. I don't know what, but it's abnormal behavior. We all have been at one time or another in a relationship that went bad, but why do some people get so obsessed? Must be a brain chemistry thing.BTW Shadeaux sometimes the ignored to this point is when the victim is murdered or abducted.

I have been a victim of a cyberstalker for almost ten years. He has been on probation for quite some time for stalking the young brother of an ex-girlfriend. No amount of contacting his parole officer or city detectives has spurred any of them to caring one whit about his online stalking. In fact, he still stalks the young boy's family and goes so far as to post their names and address and phone number online. The parole officer says it can't be proved that it is him and the police say that they can't do anything unless he physically threatens or attacks me or the other family. I've learned a valuable lesson from all of this... the only person who can protect me is me. And I also learned that most people such as this stalker who is featured in this article is operating on an entirely different mental reality. There is seemingly no cure for this disorder. It is sad that mental illness can manifest itself in so many different ways that are not amenable to therapy or cure.

Totally agree with you shadeaux14.   Orders of protection, prior arson and continual stalking usually leads to assault and battery or death of the victim before the cops get off their ass to protect the people instead of protecting the corporate gods that they work for.   Notice that the laws they enforce are called "commercial codes" and not "criminal".   The use of any hemp product takes money away from corporations.
