Hostage: Do Or Die premieres December 1 on Investigation Discovery.

Lois Fraley, a former Arizona Department of Corrections officer, spent 15 days in early 2004 as a hostage inside a tower at the Lewis Prison Complex in Buckeye -- the longest prison standoff in the nation's history.

On December 1 at 10 p.m., her story will be featured on the premier of Hostage: Do Or Die, a new television series on Investigation Discovery. Find ID on your TV with the network's channel finder.

Promo below:

Watch the chilling story of how corrections officer Fraley survives being taken hostage by two inmates in an Arizona prison. She endures physical, psychological and emotional abuse for 15 days, and lives to tell about it.

The single mom and her now 12-year-old daughter talk about the ordeal, and Fraley describes moments of terror -- and even frustrations with the negotiators.

I just can't believe how many ppl have such harsh opions if she isn't "over" it yet then that's her business your no one to judge and being someone who has been assaulted I can say it does change u and if u haven't been thru it u can nevr know how u will react. And if I was held by two nutjobs for 15 days because of my job I don't know about u but ill take some money for my story .

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY I REMEMBER THIS AS IF WAS YESTERDAY AS WELL. I WAS WORKING OUT THEIR WHE  THIS TOOK PLACE, AND TO ALL THAT DONT KNOW ITS NOT LIKE YOU THINK THESE INMATES WERE NOT ACTING ALONG. THIS DEPARTMENT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION. SO MANY FAMILIES WHER HURT AND MISLEAD BY THE WHOLE ACT OF WHAT REALLY TO PLACE, BUT ASK THE SHERRIFF JOE HIMSELF WHY IS IT THAT HES UNDER INVESGATION? SO MANY GUARDS AND INMATES ARE ACTING IN WAYS THAT YOU WOULD THINK, BUT IF YOU SEE AND WATCH T.V SHOWS THEN YOU KNOW THIS IS THE ONLY FUKN STATE THAT CHARGES YOU A FAMILY TO GO AND SEE YOUR FAMILY. STOP AND ASK YOURSELF WHY IS THAT BECAUSE THIS MAN IS A FUKN THIEF AND A LOW DOWN DOG, AND THE LIFE THAT HE PUTS ON THESE GUARDS ARE GOING TO COME BACK AND BIT HIM IN THE FUKN ASS.

Here's the deal: I personally know Lois, and I am also a Correctional Officer in another state. Prior to meeting Lois in 2008, I did a lot of research about her ordeal. I do know that these 2 inmates were not incarcerated for keeping library books out past their due dates. Bottom line: They attempted to escape, were discovered in the process, and were holed up in a tower with 2 CO's and inflicted all types of assualt tactics to them both. Lois remained captive for an additional week in that tower. I don't know how she was able to survive that. Those of us that work in this setting should  try to learn from it, not second guess or bash her. In fact, up until I met her, EVERY person that said they wanted to "help" her, did the exact opposite, and profited themselves. Lois had a foundation for survivors. She didn't profit personally. In fact, she wasn't paid for this show either. To all the critics: I really wonder how many of you could endure what she went through.

I was an officer at the lewis prison at the time of the hostatge situation.  I have a lot of mixed feelings about this topic.  I was terrified to go to work when I got the call at 5 oclock in the morning.  When I got to work with my husband there were so many officers wanting to help we were tripping on each other.  For days we gave up our lives and devoted everyday to the situtation.  My husband slept on the floor for a week without a shower and good food.  We went to 12 hour shifts for this.  I am telling you this for one reason.  What you are going to watch is not going to be the truth and it is all about money.  I agree about being strong and stop being a victim. I was rapped and I live a normal life as a Correctional officer.  I am not mean, I don't beat the inmates or talk down to them because I am angry.  I have to write this because this story doesn't need to be told.  It is so so much more than two inmates trying to escape.

I wonder how much she got paid to tell her sad story that she wants to forget about. its all a con job and an old fashioned hustle to get your money. next will be a best selling book or a movie on lifetime channel on this sad indecent. funny how the offer of money changes everything and everybody. suddenly all the pain from your past is gone as soon as a book publisher or Hollywood comes knocking on your door offering you big bucks.

I  am a female and I was raped at the age of 15 back in 1968 in a southern Georgia jail by 2 hick cops / jail guards who ran a small town Barney and Andy jail there. I was a teenage runaway and my dad took a week to come drive down to Georgia from another state to pick me up. but in that week those 2 hick cops / jail guards raped me every night till my dad finally showed up to get me a week later. back then you never talked about it and you moved on with your life and got over it as  I have. you didnt go on the oprah winfrey tv show or write a book or do interviews about it about it you toughed it out like us old broads did and do back then. todays women are weak and are not as tough as us old timers back in my day. I say quit playing the victim role and move on with your life. its the past and yesterday is just a memory.  jail and prison guards rape women who are incarcarated alot it happens often over at CIW womens prison in frontera california on the night shift so dont think prison guards are all nice guys. some are as evil as the inmates. women should guard women in womens prison and men should guard men in mens prison. this might stop some of this stuff from happening.

were you raped in the core? whatever, there's pieces of shit in service too... i guess serving in the military doesn't make a douche a better person. only an a$$hole will compare vietnam to rape; two things that have nothing to do with the other, unless you raped in 'nam...

Wow, you're obviously a fuck tard too doped up on your meth. The woman was brave enough to work in a violent mens prison system. Only to become a hostage in a lethal and deadly situation where she was at the mercy of her attackers. Her life was on the line in there. Get over your Viet-fucking-Nam syndrome and move the fuck on. Quit boasting about how you were in the Marines back then. That trite shit is old news now pops.
