Occupy Phoenix's "Pre-Occupation March": No Arrests, No Mayhem, No Cause

• How do illegals figure into an argument about Wall St. and injustice? If anything, the illegals you stammer about get no universal justice whatsoever. Consider that, if you really do consider anything at all. Please don't reply with more hatred of other people. THEY'RE not the problem, YOU are the problem, I am the problem, WE are the problem. I really wish you could see the world for what it is, not what your media tells you. Question authority, consider what people say before you react with hate and anger. Quit being lazy and uninformed and DO something about your gripe, other than spreading the lie.

• Let us resolve this issue once and for all by doing what is right. Should immigrants who chose to go through the normal immigration process and those who cross the border illegally be treated the same? How is that fair and just to one and all?

• The $70.00 ticket is a reminder of who truly controls the people - government and corporations working to extract obscene fees from working people and senior citizens.

• J, Well said. We were there also. It was a great day with lots of messages by many concerned people of all ages and types. The only bad part of the day was our $70.00 Phoenix parking ticket -- a way to discourage people from visiting downtown.

• James King, you are over payed!!! I was there today, it was awesome! If nothing else, we the 99% are bringing light to the injustices that are taking place in America today. With no agenda at all, we are turning on the lights, and letting the world see the cockroches!!!!

• LOL, the country's collapse was started about 2 years before he took office, but keep drinking the Kool Aid and blaming it all on him until Brother Beck, Fox and Friends and the "talented" Mr Limbaugh tell you that it's time to blame someone else. Obama may not be producing many results here, but he most DEFINITELY was handed a collapsed economy,  burst housing bubble, and a recession. These were in play YEARS before the election, yet Bush told us again and gain, every time someone tried to point it out, that everything was "fine", up until a month before the election, when he FINALLY admitted it, and it was too late to lessen the effects. Obama has every right to blame Bush for the shitpile he was handed, and the Republicans have played a major part in keeping things in the sewer, thanks to their 'let's block absolutely ANYTHING Obama backs, even if it was our own idea in the first place' policy, but Obama is complicit as well. He hasn't once stepped up and put the Republicans in their place, which he needs to do, and quick. We let these Right Wingers make the calls much longer, and the Recession is going to be looked back as the time when we all 'really' had shit together. All we really need is to have REAL conservatives in the Republican Party, instead of the self-righteous, selfish, immature, my-way-or-the-highway Jesus Freaks that are posing as Republicans.

• Yup. You know, I've never cared whose fault it is, or why this or that, what I want to know is what is the current guy going to do about it. And, I don't want to hear, but they won't let me... that's a leadership issue. You have to get out there and convince people and compromise, and I don't really care - just get it done or resign. Let's do what is right for America for a change and find a leader... with some real experience and ability to make things happen.

• Yea, we need a new leader. A leader that can work with both parties. I have no idea how that is done, but Obama isn't capable of doing it. His lack of experience and ability is painfully obvious at this point.

• Uh.. the strategy is to blame Wall Street and rich people for the economy so that Obama won't be held accountable for doing nothing for 4 years to fix it. He figures if you'll buy that "Hope" and "Change" idiocy, you will still be stupid enough to believe he isn't to blame for the complete collapse of America and that he deserves 4 more years to complete the destruction.

• So instead we get Obama the Blamer. He does nothing, and the country collapes. But, you like that.

• Yes, it is crazy, but that is their strategy. Why you voted for that crap I'll never know.

• And lest we forget; Had the other candidate won, all our brains would have been eaten by zombies by now. So just remember that before you go blurting. 

• That's gotta be the most illogical statement I've yet to read. You Maroon. Try thinking about the words you repeat before you repeat them, please. In essence- "I want to be re-elected, so I'm going to create a fake protest about our economy, in order for people to FORGET about our economy!"

• You are no more employed or a veteran than the man in the moon. You'll be there, as always, in an effort to seduce young gays.

• This movement is no movement at all. This is all staged by the Obama re-election committee in an effort to deflect attention from his absolute failure to lead this country anywhere but in the gutter. It doesn't matter where the problems started, or who is doing what. We need a leader that unites people on both sides of the aisle to take action to solve the problems. Obama and his backers hope to stay in office based on taking no action and just saying it's not their fault.

• Unfortunately in true Az fashion some are more about image then substance and I'm guessing a good percentage of people that were there were more about being part of the scene then the actual movement itself. Like wearing a Che t-shirt or slapping some "radical" bumper sticker on your car...they're just going through the motions.

• How delusional are you to believe that the roots of what ails this country only run three years deep? FYI...I didn't vote for Obama either. Are you so out of touch that you actually believe the wealthiest, most powerful entities that run this place actually have your best interest at heart? This occupy movement actually has the potential to unify the country for the greater good of the working class. If you can't see that you're just not paying attention.

• Whoa there Spanky, I'm an employed Vietnam vet who will be there in hopes of bringing attention to the piss poor education system in this state which defecates morons such as yourself. Now go hide under your bed like the coward you are until all us "Old Hippies" are gone. That way, none of us will have to endure the stench of your hate and fear.

• I was there for few. It was just the same 'ol unemployed-in-need-of-more-handouts-liberal bunch. No where else to go and no money. All of these people support Obama so they were there to put on a show for his latest effort to deflect blame from his administration. Pretty boring.  

• Yup, indeed it was a lame march without a cause. Confusing? Yes, Perplexing? Yes, because no one knew what they were there for, other than to state they are angry. Yes it was lame and nothing more. Had they direct their anger at either pearce or arpaio, maybe they just might gather more respect and support. But for now, it's stupid.

• The sentiment is there.  I don't get out much but even at the grocery store I see t-shirts protesting the economic criminality rampant in this nation so it is interesting to see the occupiers dissed and marginalized by both left and right.

• What a goatfuck. Go back to your XBOX, kids.

• It was lame? Were you there?  Where did they protest?  What were the chants?  Could you do some actual reporting or are you one of those "journalists" that just makes stuff up. Horrible, biased reporting.  Get a degree, get some ethics, and get a clue.
