Michele Bachmann Will Be Back in Arizona on Monday...to Meet With Russell Pearce

Michele Bachmann deepthroating a corn dog is still hawt. A little crazy, but still hawt.
Last time Minnesota Congresswoman/presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was in Phoenix, she told reporters she plans to target Arizona in her bid to become the Republican nominee for president.

It appears she wasn't kidding -- Bachmann will be back in the Grand Canyon State on Monday to meet with members of the Arizona Legislature, the Arizona Republican Senate Caucus announced today.

According to caucus spokesman Mike Philipsen, Bachmann will meet with legislators about Senator Steve Smith's border-fence initiative, and other illegal immigration-related issues.

"Bachmann is a strong supporter of border security and asked for a meeting to learn more about [Smith's plan] and border enforcement in general," Philipsen says.

Following her meeting with legislators, Bachmann will hold a press conference at the State Capitol, which will hopefully be a little lengthier than the three minutes she spent with reporters last time she was in town.

Also at the press conference will be Senate President Russell Pearce, Smith, Congressman Trent Franks, and Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever.

Also in town Monday will be Herman Cain, one of Bachmann's opponents in the GOP presidential primary.

Cain, as Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio blurted earlier this week, will be in the Valley to try to win the support of America's self-proclaimed "toughest sheriff."

Arpaio spokesman Justin Griffin told New Times on Tuesday that the sheriff and Cain probably will hold a press conference following their meeting. Probably? It's Arpaio! He would never miss an opportunity to aggrandize himself.

We plan to attend both press conferences. If anyone has any burning questions for Cain or Bachmann, leave them in the comment section of this post, or e-mail them to James.King@newtimes.com, and we'll do what we can to get them answered by the candidates.

One simple question. Does she spit immediately after consuming such a corn dog?

heres my question for both Cain and Bachmann:

how can either of you call yourselves Christians, while clamoring for the endorsements of those who represent the opposite of what it stands for?

I have a question for Ms. Bachmann.

Why are you publicly seeking the endorsements of a pair of corrupt, senile, washed-up old fools like Pearce, who is facing recall, and the MCSO shurf, who is facing potential indictment for abuse of power?

Jason, a nagging technical point, but all the same: pearce HAS BEEN recalled. He is now  facing an election on November 8th to stay in office. If he loses said election his opponent will take his senate seat for the remainder of the current term. He has been FORCED by the recall to try to be elected again to the same seat he was elected to for the current terms. The recall effort was successful....
