• That is what some of these people are forced to do if they want to work so they can feed themselves and their families. When you make it impossible to get a job without have a ssn what would be better, selling drugs or stealing for money or using someone elses ID for the sole purpose of earning money at a hardworking job? When you need food on the table and need to work for money what are your options? Not everyone that uses another persons ssn is using it for criminal purposes. There are plenty of actual citizens who do that. Keep in mind that some of these "illegals" are hard working individuals with families to support and have lived here since they were kids but because they were brought here without visas they are considered illegal. How would you feel going into a country where they made it impossible for you to work and you had no money for food all because you weren't a citizen? 

• Sherrif Joe is one of a few law enforcement individuals who understands a simple fact: "illegal immigrant" = an individual who is not in the United States legally. Being that the "illegal immigrant" has broken our  (and Barrack Hussien Obwama's) Federal Immigration Laws and entered the United States through illegal means, he / she is subject to a crime and as such, he / she is subject to deportation. Is that difficult to understand?

The only persons it benefits are the greedy employers. It does zilch for clients, because the money saved from the cheap labor is pocketed by the greedy employers and not passed on to the consumer. In fact, many of these employers do not have disability insurance, required by law. and when an undocument worker gets hurt, employers send they to a county hospital and guess who picks up the bill in higher taxes? P.S. all the work I've described above doesn't require one to know English either, so it doesn't affect Juan and Maria, as you say, at all, but it does screw with the system and Americans that have paid into it.

• Teknik, just curious which police agency you reported this to? Don't generalize based on the actions of one agency. You may be directed to another agency that will do something.

• Gpscentral, apparantly you do not understand what the Employer Sactions law is. The actual punishment for the empolyer is only a civil saction and it is very difficult to prove that the employer knowingly hired an illegal.  Usually when illegals that are arrested are only the workers on the bottom of the food chain and they do not have the knowledge of who the main boss is or most of the time even know the name of the business owner. The same goes with many of the low or mid level managers involved. Even f they did have knowledge that the business owner gave them, the mgrs, a directive to hire illegals, the managers usually are not willing to testfy against the business owner.  The civil portion of the law  is very narrow in scope.  Until the civil portion of the law is changed  you will not see the County Attorney's Office filing charges against the employer. So, in the mean time when information is developed about illegals working at a business the approach would the same as any felony charge, to develope PC and gain credible info from various sources such as imformants, disgrundled workers, etc, and  do ss checks and  use other investigative techniques and records checks to do a search warrant for felony charges such as ID Theft and Forgery. Hope this clears up a few thngs.

• i can tell you first hand that the police don't actually care when someone is working on your SS#.  In fact after making a police report then never called back. the perp who was working on my SS pains 215$ in taxes out of his pay in 2008. So the employer didn't require his employee to pay taxes. Of course this a high end owner of a concept chain of restaurants (the are all different names)

• Arpaio keeps Maricopa county safe for child molesters.  His office does not like to investigate them. (He only investigates them if they might be illegal immigrants.  Unfortunately, most are American citizens so they are safe from him.)

• Most of the reputable studies I have seen indicate that because American citizens are less likely to want to do the jobs that Mexican illegal immigrants are doing, after illegal aliens are arrested other aliens take their places.  You want proof of that, ask yourself, "would I want to work as a migrant farm worker?"  There are some jobs that only illegal immigrants are willing to do.

• It seems suspicious that Arpaio schedules these raids so that they occur before paydays so the employers don't have to pay their employees their wages.  Joe does not dare arrest the employers because many of them contribute to his campaign.  It is an old AZ tradition for the farm owners to hire illegal workers to pick the crops and them call in Border Patrol to arrest them right before payday so they got the labor for free.
