Susan Brock Not Playing Nice in Prison; Gets First Disciplinary Infraction Four Months into 13-Year Sentence

ADC
Four months into her 13-year prison sentence, and Susan Brock has already earned her first ADC disciplinary infraction.
The same day this week's New Times cover story, "Brocked Up," hit newsstands across the Valley, it was brought to our attention that the (ahem) star of the story, Susan Brock, hasn't been playing too nice with prison staff while serving time as a guest of the state.

Brock, the supposedly estranged wife of Maricopa County Supervisor Fulton Brock, is serving a 13-year prison sentence after admitting that she carried out a sexual relationship with a teenage boy for nearly three years. The Brock's adult daughter, Rachel, was convicted of abusing the same boy and is  awaiting sentencing.

Get all the details on the bizarre tale of religion, politics, and sex here.

According to the Arizona Department of Corrections, Brock was hit with a disciplinary infraction for disobeying prison staff on August 23 -- just more than four months after she was admitted to the big house in April. She was found guilty of the infraction on August 29, according to the ADC.

ADC spokesman Barrett Marson tells New Times he's not sure exactly what earned Brock the disciplinary citation, but he presumes it was a fairly minor infraction with little -- if any -- consequences.

If it were for something serious, like fighting, Marson says, Brock would probably be reclassified with a heightened security classification. Brock, however, remains a level-three (medium-security) inmate at the Arizona State Prison Complex at Perryville.

Brock, apparently, has landed a job in the clink, too -- according to her ADC file, she's been employed by the Perryville prison kitchen since April 30.

Marson says if he gets any specific information about the incident that earned Brock the infraction, he'll let us know. Check back for details.

Does this mean that Susan Brock can't participate in the Coloring Book contest?

She got sentenced and is doing her time, leave her alone.

We have bigger fish to fry.

Just leave this woman alone already.  It is SO easy to have an infraction once you are subject to prison culture.  Go work in the medical unit of the prison and see how many inexplicable injuries come in every day that are all "accidents."  She is being targeted and the infraction was the result.  So this paper just had a good article "Hell Hole" and then continues to mess with this woman while she is trying to survive it.  Yes she is a criminal but she is paying more than you could ever know I am sure.

There's only one thing to do. Allow Sheriff Joe Arpaio to enter the jail, and cane, no excuse me, "wet cane", here ass with thirty hard lashes. That wil straigten out this pervert.

The DOC makes sure to mess up a newcomer's record to give the media bait and this information can be used in future court hearings. Goes along with the getting the "ugly" mug shot as SOP (standard operating procedure) used to convict.

I do agree with you on many levels where "sexual crimes" are concerned. It's a two edged sword. We cannot allow society to be in the control of those that have appetites out of the norm.  On the other hand, how much damned trouble has the limitations of our physiology and hormones gotten us into, men and women? I have to admit, outside the extreme cases of rape or sexual acts combined with violence or murder, I have to come down more on your side of the issue.

What about this young man that Mrs. Brock molested?  He is paying more than you will ever know.  Think about that so whatever happens in prison is just that....there is no place in society for people who molest kids.  At least with men you can neuter them and that is supposed to make a difference but that is the only thing I have ever heard that works to change pedophiles.

And BDSM Bobby comes out of the closet. Sorry. Bobby, she's into pedophilia, oral and sex toys, not BDSM. Keep it consensual.

You were kidding Bobby?  I read that and pictured you with some Singapore fantasy.

Bobby, pedophilia is not considered to be correctable, which is why she is in prison. The county sheriff has no jurisdiction at a state prison and would not be allowed to enter without a lawful reason. Don't you have a local county sheriff in California who can be your hero? Lee Baca, perhaps?

... notice how this bait is thrown out in the public, prior to the daughter's upcoming sentencing. Once again, SOP.

" At least with men you can neuter them and that is supposed to make a difference"

Castration after the age of puberty does not render its victim impotent, just sterile. They will still have their sex drive and still get it up, unless drugs are given to prevent this. Sometimes such drugs are administered, and this is referred to somewhat inaccurately as "chemical castration," but it is usually done in conjunction with therapeutic interventions like aversion therapy.

Let's cut the crap about the boy.  Most of us guys would have loved the sexual attention at that age.   As far as putting her in jail because she's incurable is besides the point.  She's being punished at the same time that the media promotes pedophilia.   Pay attention to movies, television and print ads.   Along with homosexuality it's the biggest killer of social morals and the family way of life.   Don't forget the increasing corruption and violence perpetrated upon the public by the police, both federal and local.

Bobby

Yeah, sure. Let me borrow some of your toys.

Bobby
Bobby

Hell, no!! It's my fault, I didn't make myself completely clear. Men who are child molesters need to have their balls cut off. I have less than 0 sympathy for them. But this guy wasn't actually a child, but a teenager probably driven by his hormones. It's a terrible thing but it's the way it is.

Mistalee

Yes, the fact that Bobby has gotten down the terminology to the point where he discriminates between "caning" and "wet-caning" (whatever that is) suggests that he thinks about this sort of thing way too much, probably while keying one-handed.

I don't know Tommy.  What about Arpaio in his dominitrix outfit and his wet cane......that might scare somebody straight.

Tommy, lighten up. Can'tt you take a joke? Afterall, most of the blogs concerning a lot of stuff going on in Arizona is comedy material, an idea that Mr. Kings whole style of writing  seems to pick up on.

What could this have to do with the sentencing? The judge has guidelines to stay within and has pre-sentence reports, etc, to determine lawful incarceration. Her mother's infractions likely wouldn't be considered.

I don't disagree with you.  I was attempting to point out the double standard employed by others because this victim was a boy.  I don't agree that it should be that way.

Bobby

It's not that they think all older woman are easy, its' that guys that age rarely think with their brain at all. They think weith something else. Hormone driven, 100%. Again, your points are really excellent and I applaud you for being such a thoughtful person. It's easy to jump to conclusions on these matters, but one thing is true, a the line has got to be drawn, or this society will collapse faster than it already is.

Bobby
Bobby

I agree with this. When I was a teenager, I was hit on by older woman several times, including a neighbor and my biology teacher Mrs. X. Mrs.X, never hit on me directly, but would constantly make comments about me in class to the point of embarrasment. Thank God I had a girlfriend that I was crazy in love with at the time.

Bobby
Bobby

That's the point I'm trying to make. Sure, it's the womans fault completely, because she knew that guy was underage. And your'e right. The media along with Hollywood, is constantly dancing around the pedophilia and homosexuality issue. These people don't get the nuances of this stuff. Funny because they see all other issues especially in Arizona, as black and white.

Whoa whoa whoa!  This is not my area of expertise but is this sexism or what?  This kid has got to be totally warped by the experience - and it lasted YEARS.  I agree with Walter that our society is overly and disgustingly and pervertedly sexualized in everything.  Then we punish people for falling for it?  Monica Lewinsky cannot get a job, a man, she cannot even go out to eat but diners at other tables openly make loud jokes at her expense.  She was just a kid raised in overly permissive society and she made big mistake but people need to leave her alone too.  What a double standard between her treatment and Bill Clinton's treatment!  And everybody seems to forget that Monica could not have done that on her own.  Also other targets of Mr. Clinton's attentions did not find it easy to get away from him or even to say no.  He is/was clearly a serial sexual predator and got off scot free.  So please let us not be sexist here too.  Older women being predatory on younger men has always been.  I learned of it when I was a minor and that was a long time ago.  How much actually happens and how much is talk I do not know but I have had plenty of young men young enough to be my grandson come on to me sexually so I guess they think all older women are easy?  To me I just want to throw-up and it has been upsetting to have my kids confront me as to why I am banning one of their friends from the house and for them to minimize the behaviors I experienced that I do not care to experience again.  This stuff is messy all the way around.  Just think if I fell for it even once?  Just one weak moment?  I could go to prison!

A 13 year old craving sexual attention has already lost their virginity to daddy...there is nothing socially acceptable about a 13 year old being molested by an adult.  The fact that the victim was a male only makes it less reprehensible.

Bobby
Bobby

Hey, the only reason I know about caning and wet caning etc., is that it was explained (caning) in a case involving an American kid that did some grafitti or something in one of those strict Oriental countries, it might have been Singapore, I don't remember. Well, there was a big story of how he was going to get a cane across his ass, and the news explained caning at that time.

Psychology, as it was historically practiced, was a racket that had never helped a single person. Today it's almost 100 percent drug based, thanks to the control of big Pharma and the laziness of many psychologists. Now Drew Carey, did say that positive thinking books and the like did help him in his career, so that might give a little credit to the subject, but that's about it.

shadeaux14

Bobby, Psychology has a term for people like you "Offensive Throwback" and you're right about the drugs, I worked in Psych for over 20 yrs. and the medications available today wouldn't do you a damn bit of good.

Just like pedophilia, there is no effective treatment for the sickness that is Arizona conservatism.

OMG....not that visual!  It won't scare anybody straight, but it will cause many to vomit, gag, laugh, or any other reaction.  On the practical side, I don't seeing AARPaio with that kind of stamina.

Just to clarify, I didn't mean to imply I agree with the conclusions of those psychologists. Modern psychology, has now amost exclusively turned to drugs to "heal" people. I agree with you 100 percent that it's a bogus science, outside of the very few drugs that actually correct some brain conditions. And, it's been totally infected with politics.

I suspect that if the truth be known, psychology, the soft science of satan, cannot do anything for anybody ever.

I don't "hate" any "group" of people. In fact, I don't believe in the politics of exclusion at all, despite that's what you think. Yeah, I know I make strong comments on some of these Mexican foreign nationals who commit criminality here. Why not? You ask me to broaden my mental bandwith, fine. How can you ignore all of this and yet give me that advice? And you do ignore it.

Bobby, unless you want to advocate for deporting Mormon Anglo immigrants back to Salt Lake City, your anti-immigrant rants have not a single fucking thing to do with this thread.

Try to broaden your mental bandwidth, at least a little bit. We know you hate Mexican immigrants. But not everything is about that.

Tommy Collins

Bobby, my priority regarding illegal immigration is to deal with the folks who are here illegally and NOT paying taxes and fees as most citizens do.

That said, many, if not most, of those here illegally are paying taxes in one form or another, especially those who are working at jobs where income taxes and social security deductions are being withheld from pay, even if the social security account does not belong to that person.

Most of those people are paying property taxes in one form or another, as buyers or renters. All of those people are paying sales taxes on items purchased in the United States.

It's unrealistic for us to believe that any one police agency, or all of them combined, can be successful in identifying and removing all illegals from the United States. I think you can agree with that.

SO, let's identify those who are here illegally and want to stay here, work, pay taxes and work toward becoming citizens. Then, let's give them a social security account and have them pay toward our social security system. Let's have them pay income and property taxes and let's have them pay for their own health benefits and insurances.

The MCSO shurf is wasting millions of dollars annually to remove a few illegals who are working. He isn't getting those who are paid cash. He isn't getting employers who pay less than minimum wages in cash. And each time he conducts such a raid he is taking resources away from other law enforcement services he should be rendering.

All to gain a few votes from some very ignorant folks who think illegal immigration is the most serious threat we are facing as a country.

Bobby, open your eyes and your mind and look at the global issues we are dealing with. MCSO arrests ONE maid at a hotel and one of our soldiers comes home without an arm.

You tell me which should be important.

We have a county sheriff who wants to be president, but he won't run for governor because he knows he can't be elected to anything outside of Maricopa County.

If he would just be a really good COUNTY sheriff he wouldn't be in the trouble he's in now.

He will NOT be re-elected in 2012, should he make it that long.

Bobby
Bobby

Tommy, politicians across the country, in many states, are allowing the Constitution to be trashed by giving illegal aliens a voice, and even acting as if the whole issue was legitimate. It is not. I'm saying that the people fighting against Arizona, and its leaders aren't concerned about the constitutuion. Why should anyone care about the legal rights of illegal aliens, when the rights of Arizona citizens are trashed by those that support all the illegal criminality that is coming across that border!! I believe your priorities are backwards.

Tommy Collins
Tommy Collins

You apparently have never read a word I've written about illegal immigration.

YES, Bobby illegal immigration IS an important issue in the United States, as it is for Canada and Mexico and many other countries. I am NOT a champion of illegal immigration or open borders.

BUT, I am a champion of professional law enforcement and enforcement of the Constitution of the United States.

I do have a problem when law enforcement abuses the civil rights of citizens to make arrests to garner attention to their agency, as does MCSO, hence the Flaccid Fool; who is vicariously responsible for the actions of his agency and it's employees.

The MCSO sheriff is NOT the only problem in Arizona. I will grant you that. Sen. Pearce, Sen. Klein, Sen. Bundgaard and Mrs. Brewer are right there with him. Not to mention a host of other miscreants who are also ELECTED OFFICIALS, just like the shurf and Mr. Obama.

Immigration Policy reform is the only answer to the immigration issue. Current policy clearly isn't working and changes have to be made, regardless of who the president is, or which party is in control.

Just because you and I don't agree on some matters, doesn't mean you and I are mutually moronic, now does it?

Bobby
Bobby

Tommy, I give you credit, in general, for not taking these things lightly. Bravo!! This whole society is taking everything lightly. That's why we are going to descend into the dustbin of history if we don't change. It's only too bad, and saddens me, that you don't seem to realize illegal immigration from Mexico, but everywhere else also, and all this flagrant violation of U.S. sovereignty implies, are issues of greater import, infinitely more important to the state of Arizona and this country as a whole, than the perverted sexual behavior of some people. Sheriff Joe Arpaio isn't the problem in Arizona.

Tommy Collins
Tommy Collins

Bobby, thanks. I didn't hear the humor in your writing. I guess I'm too serious about crimes such as pedophilia and don't appreciate levity in that regard.

As you know, I am no fan of the MCSO shurf and all the noise you make about how great he is is heard by me as being nothing more than flatulence on the level with a category five hurricane.

The MCSO shurf is a mentally ill old man whose days of glory and effectiveness have long passed.

You don't have to call the prison. ADC has a website where you can pull up the info on any inmate in the system and see their disciplinary record.
