Police say Gordon Benson stabbed a Tempe man Saturday morning. He's still on the loose.
The victim of a fatal stabbing over the weekend in Tempe has been identified, and the man who police say stabbed him remains on the loose.

Tempe police have identified the victim as 47-year-old Fred U. Bustamante. The suspect is 60-year-old Gordon Benson.

Police haven't released a lot of information about the Saturday morning stabbing other than Bustamante was stabbed at his home on Apache Boulevard east of McClintock Drive.

Benson was last seen wearing a gray shirt, black jeans, and boots. It's unclear if the two men knew each other, or what motive Benson would have to kill Bustamante.

Police located a car Benson was driving the day of the stabbing. His current mode of transportation is unknown.

Benson is described as a white male about 5-foot-6 and weighs about 140 pounds. When he was last seen he was clean shaven.

Anyone who knows where Benson might be is asked to contact the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
