Sorry, John McCain, Wallow Fire Suspects U.S. Citizens. Confirmed

johnmccainsnarl.jpg
"There is substantial evidence that some of these fires are caused by people who have crossed our border illegally." - Senator John McCain after touring the Wallow fire.
Remember earlier this year when Arizona Senator John McCain said "there is substantial evidence that some of these fires are caused by people who have crossed our border illegally.

"They have set fires because they signal others, they have set fires to keep warm, and they have set fires in order to divert law enforcement agents and agencies from them," McCain said. "The answer to that part of the problem is to get a secure border."

That's right, seemingly referring to the Wallow fire John McCain blamed a forest fire on illegal immigrants -- and he's not even running for office.

Following McCain's comment, remember when he then offered absolutely no evidence to backup his claim that illegal immigrants were to blame for the largest wildfire in Arizona history?

That happened, and there's a reason: illegal immigrants didn't start the fire -- a couple of white guys named Caleb and David Malboeuf, cousins, are suspected of starting the blaze.

The Department of Justice confirms to New Times that both Malboeufs are U.S. citizens -- they live in the Flagstaff area.

Just for kicks, below you can watch McCain put on his serious face and blame illegal immigrants for a forest fire:

This story, like many others from this blogger, never let facts get in the way of a good story. Wrong fire dumbass.

McCain promised to help me with a problem in AZ - then, when he found out about how horrible it is, how corrupt his state is, he LIED TO THE FBI about me.  His "Gestapo" came to my HOME - and it almost got me and my two children shot and killed on our front lawn.  All based on his blatant lies.  Now he refuses to deal with it.  To use his words: a real "jerk".  (Any courageous lawyers out there???)

I am a Vietnam vet who considers McCain an embarrassment to Vietnam vets. IMO, he spent his time as a POW dreaming about how big a political whore he would someday become.

People can say whatever they want about Obama but can you imagine the shape this country would be in if McCain/Palin would have won.

Mr.King, the senator made his remarks after information coming from a fire official indicated the Monument Fire may have been, or likely was, started by migrants since the forest had been closed to all activity. The video even clarifies that his remarks were NOT about the Wallow Fire.

My initial response was the same as yours and some of the folks who post here. "Hmmmm... started by illegals, huh?".

Not the same fire.

So, the Wallow Fire was accidentally started by known U.S. citizens, who have now been charged.

The Monument Fire was likely accidentally started by unknown subject(s) of unknown citizenship.

Yes?

I'm also a Viet vet and I have the utmost respect and admiration for anyone who endured what he did while being in a prison camp. I don't care for his last term in office as our senator but I would never be critical of the senator for his time in the prison camps.

You may recall that as young men in Viet Nam we weren't really politically savvy so I doubt he spent much time planning his political future. I would guess he did as you and I did, simply wondering if he would live to see the sun rise one more time...

Everything would be perfect. We would be in 14 wars, which would have lowered the unemployment rate by 5 points.  Of course the debt would be three times as much.  McPalin would have said we can have 14 wars, lower taxes, and balance the budget at the same time. Instead of the New Deal we would have had the Senile and Fantasy Programs.

I believe your memory is right Tommy.  Two different events in play here.

It is always difficult to investigate when you categorize the suspects too early in the process.  Eventually, you should narrow your focus, but at the time McCain was speaking, I don't believe they had enough information to support the statements he was making.  They had some speculation with some reasonable rationale, but probably not any substantial information that supported what McCain was saying at that point.

Hi Stacy,  It is truly an incredible and, if it weren't for the mountain of evidence, a truly unbelievable story.  If you, (and Stephen?), would like to know what it's all about, please go see the videos/evidence on YouTube here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

The video of the cop's ambush and assault is there too.  It is quite unreal and very, very scary - to all of us...  Obviously, I would very much like to have this story out in the open:  who is Stephen and how do I contact him?  And, thank YOU for your interest.Larry

And for every dollar your SuperPac sent to the McCain/Palin campaign, you would receive priority in getting a special tax loophole while sending jobs to China.

John McCain is nothing more than a shit stain. The fact he spent 87 minutes vetting Sarah Palin demonstrates he has no ability to legislate or lead a nation.

The Wallow Fire started on May 29, and is now deemed to be human caused. It was physically East Centrally located in the state.

The Monument Fire started almost two weeks later on June 12 and was located in the very south and east quadrant of the state and I believe both fires were active for a while at the same time.

["Later in June, Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever pointed out to Fox News the Monument Fire began in an area that is used for drug trafficking and human smuggling.

"There's really only one likely source of this fire and that's someone who was moving through the area illegally," he said."]

I believe that chronology will show that Sheriff Dever made the remarks about someone moving through the area illegally, before the senator made his remarks, which were too vague.

Had the senator simply said officials (Sheriff Dever) believe the Monument Fire was human caused by possible migrants he may have been ok.

But, politicians often rely on people to form their opinions on conjecture and innuendo, regardless of any fact or truth.

We still don't know who started the Monument Fire and likely won't.

This latest blowup about McCain really doesn't wash with me. I'm not even defending him, but I think the reporting about the fire origin is being incorrectly assigned.

"Shit Stain McCain" has a ring to it.

In the photo above, McCain is obviously trying to make a shit stain, but seems to have a monster turd stuck halfway out. Nothing else could explain that facial expression.
