Jesus Busso Estopellan Says He Killed ASU Student and Friend Over Weed Deal With "Jamaican"

Olek Wladszewski was murdered over an alleged drug deal gone wrong with an unidentified "Jamaican," according to the man who killed him and his friend earlier this week.
Jesus Busso Estopellan, who admitted murdering an Arizona State University student and his friend earlier this week, told police he was ordered to kill one of the men by an unidentified "Jamaican" following a weed deal gone wrong.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, Estopellan told detectives he brokered a weed deal between victim Olek Wladyszewski, 19, and the "Jamaican" about two months ago. The "Jamaican," however, didn't honor the repayment agreement, and when confronted by Estopellan, he threatened him and his family.

Wladszewski, court records reveal, was arrested in May after telling police he was robbed of $500. It was determined he had earned that money by selling weed, which prompted a search of his car where police discovered marijuana, cocaine, and a semi-automatic pistol.

It's unclear if the person who stole the $500 is the "Jamaican" Estopellan says threatened him, but the theft occurred around the same time Estopellan claims he was told to off Wladszewski.

Either way, Estopellan told police the mysterious "Jamaican" told him "you need to take care of [Wladszewski]."

He says he was scared for himself and his family and began to formulate a plan to kill the ASU freshman. He says he arranged a meeting with him to sell him some pills early Wednesday morning.

The other victim, 18-year-old pre-med student Tyler Webster, appears to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time -- Estopellan says his plan was only to kill Wladszewski and he was surprised when he showed up with Webster.

Estopellan told police he walked up to the car the two men were in and shot them both in the head.

When police got to the scene, they found Wladyszewski -- who was in the driver's seat of Webster's 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse at the time -- dead. Webster, who reported the shooting to police, was unresponsive. He was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center in critical condition. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

Estopellan, who is in the country illegally, was out on bail for a previous felony charge at the time. He remains in a Maricopa County jail without bond.

if he would have a previous felony charge he would of not been out on bond the first time. U.S immigration office doesnt allow you to become a resident if you have felonies. retards

Obviously people, of they hadn't been into dealing in the first place then none of this would have happened. That's a mistake on their part. But this illegal didn't have a valid reason to murder 2 kids. No matter what their actions, they still deserve compassion. RIP dear boys.

Yesooo, I am proud of my natural black lace wigs, but there is no way that I am ready to spend 3 hours or more of my life through the rigors of making it presentable. My hair is natural all the way (I do relax my front wigsand never have) but there is not much I can do with natural hair shoulder length without looking like a woman parading newly disturbed "Ahiaeke. " I give kudos to thoes who have no qualms to relax their hair extensions or thoes who spend up to 6 hours braiding wigs and keep for months without washing every week.

Maybe you're seeing a bit of objectivity, I'm sure you are not able to recognize it as such I'm sure, I mean.. you hardly notice you're still just a faceless idiot who's opinions are hardly valid in the collective consciousness. Alas keep on posting, this is your only soapbox.

how would you feel about their loved ones, mom, dad, little brothers & sisters reading this crap you guys are posting? What if it were YOUR family member? No one deserves to be murdered. Drug related or not.

So you Know

Tyler did drugs , too. ASU police had searched his dorm room in the past and found marijauna and drug paraphanelia. He wasn't some innocent in the "wrong place at the wrong time". That doesn't mean that either of them deserved to die, but when you do risky behaviors bad things can happen.

How do you know he did drugs?  Because it was in the papers?  If you believe everything you hear or read then something is wrong.  Step back and don't make a comment unless its factual.  If it is a fact then you aren't such a good person eithar, huh?

I'm sorry but I think the perpetrator is lying. Jamaican? Let me guess, his name is Mr. Niceguy... It's so unfortunate these boys lost their lives. who cares if one was a dealer, his life shouldn't have been taken.

who cares if it was about drugs or not? the boys should have never had their lives taken from them! They were very good men that had an impact on so many lives, loving people, and had a lot of family that loved them both very much! This should have never happened to either one of them! I'm sick of reading these comments about how they are addicts! How the hell would you know?! You obviously didn't know them if you're making accusations! These two boys just lost their lives for no reason, have some respect for them as well as their families that are mourning.

Yes they were drug dealers, and yes they made some poor decisions. That being beside the fact, show some repect to the two men who have passed away and the friends and families who cared for them.

Funny how the New Times failed to report the prior arrest for drug related charges.  I guess it would have taken the sensationalism out of the story.   Giving half the facts is crappy journalism.    Good job New Times.

First of all Olek was a drug dealer and did coke and weed. TYLER WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE AND WRONG TIME. If your buddy asked you to go somewhere with them cause they were scared to go alone, a lot of people would. They are young and naive. But who are you to judge or even speak about someone you don't know. If you think they "deserved" it then, great, but why is that something you decided to share with people who are obviously mourning their loss?

I agree with you 100% and despite some of Oleks bad choices, He was a great guy and I will regret never being able to hang out with him one last time. And same for Tyler. My heart goes out to both families.

As a father of a friend and schoolmate of both boys, I morn thier loss. Tyler was in the wrong place at the wrong time and a promising life was lost.

The death at the hands of a alien that should have been in detention pending deportation is even more troubling. We all should remeber this when we vote in 2012....this needs to stop

Could your please go fyck yourself Walter?? If your so offended by Newtimes writers, then please go to some other site and post your gay ass comments.

Further more Walter, does the fact that they had priors somehow change the fact they were murdered??

Oh and one last thing...i know your wife and word around Sun City is she's a WHORE!!

The fact that the "victims" were amateur drug dealers certainly ruins any chance that they might have had for sympathy.  Drug dealers get killed all of the time and very few people are going to care or shed tears for them.

This statement is the most ignorant statement I have ever read. You do not know those boys and one of them may have been selling but that does not justify a statement like this. Idiot.

F.T.G.,

So you've never heard of college kids doin' coke & smokin' weed ? Don't get out much, do ya ?If they matriculated to an honored college like ASU then we can be sure they were fairly bright young-uns. And they no doubt picked up these habits by watching the older dudes when they were in grade school. So what ?Drugs don't mean anything one way or the other. They probably got into commodities distribution more for the excitement than the potential for profit. College ain't cheap, so their folks have bank, even if they're beneficiaries of scholarships. Drugs are for thrillsville, Homie... start to finish. The real profit in drugs is in international trafficking by the plane load. Just ask former National Security Advisor Lt. Colonel Oliver North, who orchestrated the importation of hundreds of tons of Cocaine & weed into the U.S. in military planes.         NICE.If ya want talk crap about anyone o

Drug addicts are never JUST drug addicts...They are human beings each with struggles of their own.   These were two young kids who had families, friends, loved ones and lives ahead of them that were cut short senselessly.   Your post made it sound like they were JUST drug addicts and as such that was the sum TOTAL of who they were and all else was meaningless.   To God, they were and are SO MUCH MORE!  (And so are you!)

Lone Wolf of the East Valley
Lone Wolf of the East Valley

Sally, I'm not here to defend the inane comments of the person you are replying to. Sure, they were "human beings", granted. But they very well knew what they were getting themelves involved in. These were *ASU* students, they had BRAINS to tell right from wrong. It has nothing to with "God", its more to do with the choices they make.

Personally, and speaking for myself, I harbor no sympathies for drug dealers whether they are ASU students, Chuch goers, community service volunteers. When you are dealing drugs, you are a part of a greater societal problem that breeds more criminality and the violence associated with it.

I didn't "justify" the wrongs of anyone.  I simply said that we're all valuable despite our wrongs.   These young men had much value despite anything they may or may not have been doing.  I haven't shoved anything down anyone's throat.  Everyone is free to disagree and I haven't insisted in any way that anyone agree with me.   I have only stated my opinion just like everyone else.

Native Guns

Despite the "Wolf" in our usernames. I have no relations to the other poster with whom you are responding to. But I'll throw in my 2 cents on only one notion:

"Shoving your religious beliefs down my throat"

The dogmatic phrase of this saying is when you bring your God into your arguments to justify the wrongs of everyone involved. I believe this is what he meant by that statement. Like I said: Just my 2 cents.

VA - If you think that I don't have sympathy for their family and friends then you have totally misinterpreted something.  On the contrary - I have GREAT sympathy for the family and friends of these two young victims.  My posts have stated adamantly that even if they were in any way involved with drugs their lives were precious and should not have been taken so senselessly.  My posts are very much AGAINST those that indicate they deserved this somehow because there may have been drugs invoved.  I can't even figure out what part of my posts could possibly have made you think otherwise.   I have stated that even though the behavior itself may have been undesirable their behavior  was anything BUT all that they were.   They were much much more and that God loves us all despite bad behavior.   I don't at all get where you interpreted anything that I have said as being deragatory in any way toward the boys or as lacking sympathy for their friends or family.  My responses indicated that none of us are perfect in any way but that God still very much loves us and I DON'T feel that people should be so judgemental.  Your post has me very confused about how you could have interpreted what I said as being judgemental in any way toward these boys.

Sally I'm from va and A girl I graduated with knew Tyler that is the only reason I even know about this story however I totally agree no one deserves to be murdered. These kids made mistakes and if we should be murdered for making mistakes no one would be left on this earth we r all entitled to our opinion however please think about how u would feel I'f that were ur child I bet u would have a different perspective just want to send my sympathy to their family and friends

So if I state my opinion it's "shoving my beliefs down your throat?"  My oh my.   Why don't you reread your last post and tell me where these ideas of yours come from.  I didn't state them - you did.  The most telling part of your post is the phrase "I personally judge people...".    That much is extremely clear.   You must be perfect.   Guess that's why you're allowed to state your opinion over and over but it's not shoving it down anyone's throat?   I've decided that you must be young or just lack emotional maturity so write all night Lone Wolf, and I won't bother to respond again.   You just want to fight with someone which must mean you're pretty unhappy in life.  I really hope that you find peace and understanding, happiness, and joy.  I know what I know and your opinions do not matter to me.  They will change one day when you get older and wiser.

Lone Wolf of the East Valley
Lone Wolf of the East Valley

Sally I appreciate if you don't shove your religious beliefs down my throat, as I don't shove my mine down yours. I take it that your also sympathetic to child molestors and pedophiles? I never made attempts at people being "pefect". I personally judge people for their "actions" and content of their character. I could careless if they were ASU students or not. With your religious views aside, and reality speaking--drug dealing is a serious offense. Even if its your first time, you pay for your criminal actions associated with it. That's the reality of a hard truth.  Sometimes its not a pretty ending. Illegal activity has its consequences.

Sally
Sally

We're talking about two different things.  You're talking about behavior and I'm talking about people.   Drug dealing is an action, an activity, a behavior - and I agree that that particular behavior is wrong and does create problems in society.   It is, however, not the sum total of who these two young people were.   Several posters here seem to believe that there are people that are 100% good and those that aren't deserve to die for wrong behaviors.   I know of no one that is 100% good.  Our actions do not determine the whole of who we are.  To you, it may have nothing to do with God.  I'm sure that God hasn't approved of the behavior of millions of people - but He still loves THEM if not their ACTIONS or BEHAVIOR.  It's only overly righteous humans that finger point and throw stones when they themselves are not 100% perfect 100% of the time.

you didnt know jesus obviously your friends did drugs they were dealing with a drug dealer they were buying drugs off a drug dealer so why do we have to know them.

WTF, part of a frat?  How does that excuse being involved with drugs and criminal activities.  I don't know either victim, so I can't say if they are drug addicts are not.  What is clear is that both of them were looking to score some pills in order to make money reselling them.

Basically the two dead students should have left the drug dealing to professionals.
