Wielding a knife and out to settle a score, a Mesa woman allegedly broke into another woman's apartment on July 4, punching her in the face and binding her hands with duct tape.

Emily Daykin, 26, told police that she and three others -- Christopher Endicott, an unidentified man, and a woman dubbed "Tattoo Jeanie" -- went to the victim's Chandler pad to talk to her about a dispute between Endicott and the victim's husband, who is in jail. The two formerly were prison cellmates, court records state.

Daykin claimed "Tattoo Jeanie" was there to get Keeler to open the door. Once at the door, police say Daykin punched the victim in the face and swung a knife at her. Endicott and the unidentified man then kept an eye on the woman as Daykin stole her big- screen TV.

When the suspects split, the victim looked out of a window and saw Daykin standing next to her truck, police say. Daykin later admitted to slashing the tires and keying the vehicle. Damage was estimated at about $2,000.

Driving the getaway car, Daykin then fled the scene with three alleged accomplices.

Chandler police found and arrested Daykin and Endicott at 3 a.m. yesterday. The two admitted to going to Keeler's apartment the night of July 4, but admitted only to damaging the victim's truck.

In her description to police, the apartment resident said the woman who broke in and beat her up had blond hair. Daykin, who has dark-brown hair in her police mug shot, blames "Tattoo Jeanie" for the burglary and the alleged assault.

Daykin was booked on one count each of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, criminal damage, and first-degree burglary.
