• Sarah, it is sad when people use these comment blogs to say something mindless and idiotic.  I've known Toni for almost 30 years and am saddened as she was a sweet, trusting, intelligent woman.  Her caring attitude and sense of humor will be missed in this world.

• Why is this listed under "Dumb" anyway?  Is it because it's dumb that the police bought such an obviously fake story?   Why is it just assumed that he got drunk before the shooting and not after?

Yeah, that is pretty stupid. Considering that you don't need or want the slide open when putting a clip in a handgun like this. And considering that the safety had to be off. And considering that you'd still need to pull the trigger in order to drop the hammer. While pointing the pistol right at your wifey's heart.  Drunk or sober, the number of things that this guy had to do wrong is fairly outlandish, considering that he claims to be well-versed in firearms. The simpler hypothesis is that this guy offed his wife and managed to sell it to the cops as an accident.
