Donald Trump and Sarah Palin Not in the Good Graces of Arizona Voters, According to Poll

A poll of 623 Arizona voters released today reflects a couple things -- almost nobody likes Donald Trump, and most people would prefer Sarah Palin not move here.

In the poll -- from Public Policy Polling -- opinions are recorded about possible GOP nominees for the 2012 presidential election, and how they'd vote if they ran against President Barack Obama.

Donald Trump was the most unfavorable of five possible GOP candidates -- with a full two-thirds of people dissin' the Donald with an "unfavorable" ranking.

Remember that whole thing about former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin moving to Arizona for a possible Senate campaign?

Most people would prefer that not happen.

Palin was the second-most-disliked candidate -- with 62 percent having unfavorable opinions -- and a later question revealed 57 percent of people would prefer that she not move to Arizona.

Trump also suffered the biggest blowout in a hypothetical match-up against Obama, garnering votes from only 36 percent of respondents.

Although Obama lost to Senator John McCain by 8 percentage points in Arizona for the 2008 election, the president lost only to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in the supposed match-ups, 48 to 44.

Obama narrowly defeated former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, 46 to 44, and easily beat out Palin and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.

Public Policy Polling is a self-admitted Democratic polling company, but the New York Times' political blog "FiveThirtyEight" says surveys from the 2010 elections actually showed a very slight Republican bias from the company.

Other aspects of the poll: most respondents were old, white Republicans, as you can see with the rest of the poll results here.

Trump is pulling a Sheriff Joe. Make noise about running for office, and then decide that he doesn't want to run for office.

Palin is about two brain cells smarter than Joel Fox. She's not that smart and would undoubtedly lose to President Obama if she made the unfortunate decision to run for president.

If Palin were to be elected, would our country turn into the Wild West? Would there be mass exodus to Canada? I created a visual commentary about her absurdity and rhetoric on my artist's blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot... Drop by and let me know what YOU think!

If either Trump or Palin were running for dog catcher, I would vote for the dog.

So, 623 "Arizona Voters" stopped following HuffPo & NAMBLA long enough to affirm the prejudice of the pollster? How about that?

Seriously, we haven't enough room in Arizona for another nutcase like Palin. As stupid as she looks. She could make good for a comedy acting career. I think she's in the wrong profession.

Arizona doesn't want you there. I don't know how you couldn't figure it out. Stay away you have done enough harm to last a lifetime. These people will always remember how you worked the crowd up with your rage and hatred words and also the tone until you worked up people that weren't strong .6 dead, Gabby shot in the head. She's still slowly recovering. They don''t know that she'll ever be the same. 13 people were wounded also.Gabby warned about this happening and Palin still kept it up until the bullets were flying through the air and people died. How can Palin ever run for President when she couldn't figure out that this could happen. She said few words after this happened. The person that shot the gun is the person responsible. She can't figure out how she could be responsible. NO common sense does she have. How could she ever run for Pres? Palin can't figure out what she did with her words of hate and rage. She just can't figure it out.poor soul that she is to blame with all her hate and raging words.maybe when she sees the monument of the nine year old little girl that stands tall on a main street in Arizona...she might understand what her words brought forth.

True, Palin was warned by several to take that crosshairs image down and Palin ignoredthem. She either didn't didn't think it through or she didn't care. Then after the tragedy, she got defensive instead of human in her words. Her response was all about her, as a mom I thought the death of the nine year old child would be a wake upthat maybe she should tone it down but her only words were about Her own family. Shameful woman.

I see just one difference between Trump and Mrs. Palin. I could probably like Mrs. Palin at some point.

I sort of agree. If Palin stuck to what she knows, shilling Alaskan moose hunts and scenic byways, and looking like a Lenscrafters model, I could tolerate her as a neighbor or reality show host as long as I have a remote to turn the sound off. I can't work up any actual anger or strong feelings against her because I feel a little sorry for her like watching an old I Love Lucy episode and knowing she was going to do something awkward and embarrassing. No way she has the fire in the belly to withstand a real run for President; she wasn't even interested enough to stick out her term as governor when a few easy millions were dangled in front of her. On the other hand, Trump has no redeeming qualities as a human being. He is a narcissist, a douche bag and an opportunist and has a firm belief that the general public is a bunch of damn fools. He captured the hearts and minds of the heartless and mindless tea party bloggers and poll respondents for a few weeks by shamelessly pretending to go "all in" on their behalf on the birther issues. He quickly became the top candidate in polls among them, thereby proving their gullibility. Apparently, they have short attention spans and they now remember he is an elitist, immoral, socially liberal jerk with no sense of self-shame and they have moved on to someone else.
