If this is what your martinis look like, you may want to make a trip to the Chandler Police Department on April 30.

Instead of getting high off those expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs you have at home, give them to the Chandler Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

At an April 30 event, Chandler police and the DEA will accept any of your prescription drugs -- no questions asked.

No, authorities won't get high on the drugs (we don't think). The DEA plans to dispose of them.

Chandler police say the event will allow the public to "prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs."

In September, a similar nationwide initiative by the DEA resulted in 242,000 pounds of prescription drugs being turned in over 4,100 sites.

Not only are police concerned about people abusing prescription drugs -- they say flushing prescription drugs down the toilet or throwing them in the trash poses potential safety and health hazards.

New Times also reminds you not to give any of your painkillers to a man named "Rush."

The event is between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Chandler Police Department, located at 250 East Chicago Street.
