Elizabeth Johnson, Baby Gabriel Mom, Refuses to Go to Court...Again

Elizabeth Johnson, the kinda-hot/borderline-nuts-o mother of missing baby Gabriel Johnson, was supposed to be in court this morning to attend a hearing regarding the kidnapping charges she faces stemming from her son's disappearance in December of 2009.

Johnson, apparently, didn't feel like it.

For at least the second time in less than a year, Johnson's flat-out refused to show up for court.

Last March, Johnson, who's charged with abuse and kidnapping in the December 2009 disappearance of the baby, refused to attend a hearing for motions, including the designation of counsel, which cannot be ruled on without the defendant in court.

Court spokeswoman Karen Arra told New Times at the time that Johnson opted to stay in jail rather than attend the hearing. The next week, however, Johnson didn't have that option.

Judge Timothy Ryan rescheduled the hearing, and gave the Maricopa County sheriff's deputies responsible for transporting Johnson carte blanche when it came to making sure her butt was in the courtroom -- and it was.

According to Arra, Judge Ryan told deputies to use "any means necessary" to get Johnson to court -- and that's apparently the case yet again.

Johnson has a court date scheduled for next month -- and she's going to be there...whether she likes it or not.

The judge now hearing the case, Judge Paul McMurdie, has now ordered that if Johnson refuses to go to court, sheriff's deputies have the green light to physically remove her from her cell in Joe Arpaio's gulag and bring her to court.

I was under the impression that in Arizona, that the only time you had to be in court was for sentencing. If I was dragged into court, I would tell the judge where he can pound the sand and what I thought of lawyers in general (scum of the earth). Anyway, everybody knows that Nancy Grace and Velez-Mitchell have already found her guilty of murder. All that needs to be done is sentencing.

handcuff the lil cunt and drag her slutty killer ass to court by her hair. i thought sheriff Joe ran the toughest jail in America. the hack jail guards sound like pussies to me. send them to the deep south like Georgia,Alabama,Texas etc to learn how to really abuse jail inmates.

Maybe to you they do. But I contest that, based on the grave fact that the "Flaccid" old "Fool's" detention officers are known to kill inmates from time to time. They were also known to break women's jaws, arms and other body parts.

They should bring her to court, Dr. Hannibal style(minus the jaw/mouth protector).

I was SQ San Quentin state prison in California for 8 years and 9 months and I never had much trouble with the hacks. as long as you respected them they would give you respect back. give them a hard time and make their work day hard and stressful and they will do the same back to you. most punks who get beat up in the joint by the cops asked for it. i never got beat up ever by the hacks ever. most inmates in jail and prisons now days are a bunch of cry babies sniveling punks compared to back in my day when a convict had a convict code he lived by daily. there are convicts in the joint and there are inmates. convicts are the men and the real guys in the joint. inmates are the cry baby trouble makers that you see on tv prison shows now days. 2 different types of people.
