Chandler Man Gets 25 Years in Prison for Fatally Tossing Toddler Onto Floor

A Chandler man convicted of second-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter was in court this morning where he was sentenced to prison time and a probation.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Robert Gottsfield sentenced 21-year-old Jeremias Joel Aguilar to 25 years in prison.

In June 2009, police responded to the home of Aguilar's girlfriend where the 2-year-old was found not breathing.

Aguilar initially told police that the girl fell down, but later copped to being so fed up with her crying that he picked her up and slammed her down onto a concrete floor.

A medical exam later revealed that the girl was brain dead and had bruises and cigarette burns all over her body.

In addition to the 25 years in prison, Aguilar was sentenced to lifetime probation.

This is ridiculous!! Shouldn't murdering a child be worth MORE jail time than murdering an adult that has already lived most of their life? That little baby will never grow up because that GROWN MAN decided he was irritated and wanted to make it stop. What pisses me off is that if this were sweet little Kasey whats-her-name she would be all over national news. Shame on you Chandler courts! This should be an OUTRAGE that no one EVER forgets.

25 years in prison is nothing. This guy will probably get out on parole in 5-10 years at the most and he will then promptly murder, rape, molest someone else. Good job Arizona justice system, another violent criminal is given a free pass to continue terrorizing and victimizing society at large. This piece of trash should hang from his neck until he is dead, dead, dead. That is the only way to ensure that he kills no more innocents. Just like a rabid dog, put this animal down. Have we lost all common sense?

you have to do 3/4 of your time before ever possibly getting paroled. and most of the time you get turned down by the parole board 3 or 4 times before being paroled at all. its easy to see you have never done time in the joint

EX CONVICT

he has to live long enough to get paroled and he has to be not wrote up by the hack guards and not get into any trouble while doing his time. convicts dont like child abusers in prison so he might get beat up or stabbed to death before parole ever comes up.
