Sarah Palin Ditching Phoenix Tea Party Convention to Watch Snow Machine Race. Shucks!

You betchya Sarah Palin's going to the Iron Man Snow Machine Race, which means she's not joining her fellow Tea Partiers in Phoenix next week.
Tea Partiers from across the country will be flocking to Phoenix next week for the group's first ever "American Policy Summit." Sounds scary, we know, but it's not as scary as it could be -- Sarah Palin will not be in attendance.

No, the former vice presidential candidate will not be spying on Russia from her back porch -- a spokesman for the group tells New Times he believes she'll be attending the Iditarod, an 1,150 mile dog sled race across Alaska, which will prevent her from attending the conference.

(UPDATE: while the Tea Party spokesman told us Palin would be attending the Iditarod, a reporter for the Anchorage Daily News was kind enough to clarify: He says he thinks Palin is actually attending the Iron Dog snowmachine race, which her husband is running next week.)

Not to worry, Tea Partiers, there will be plenty of way-right-wingers at the conference to take her place, including former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, who will deliver the conference's keynote speech.

Other presidential hopefuls slated to speak at the conference include Congressman Ron Paul, and Georgia businessman Herman Cain.

Last month, the Tea Partiers selected Phoenix for the group's first-ever national policy summit dubbed "Pathways to Liberty."

The conference is scheduled for February 25-27 -- the second anniversary of the group's founding.

According to the group, "The American Policy Summit will offer policy briefings and discussions that will hit key Tea Party themes. They will be organized around the group's core values and its 'Five Pathways to Liberty': education, politics, judicial, economics and culture."

The group's national coordinator, Mark Meckler, says "Tea Party Patriots values won the day
in November, and we are now taking steps to make sure that these values
are reflected in public policy."

I'm in constant amazement that simply being a proponent of individual liberty and freedom makes a person some kind of a bizarre zoo animal. But, I've got to give the Left credit...

It's taken a few decades and a lot of work to finally get enough people to actually believe that tyranny and oppression is really a better gig...

my hat's off to ya...

tyranny and oppression is what the Tea Party is all about. Specifically, in outlawing abortion, the tea partiers hope to deny the rights enshrined in our Constitution (i.e., privacy) to all people.

Our Associates may be pushing their luck with Sheriff Joe, because they sent this worldwide and to at least fifteen MCSO E-mail addresses. The Sheriff has arrested people for a lot less than this , but an ASU Associate said, "Fuck that old fart - let him try to arrest us." Then the ASU dude said that Joe and Sarah are part of the worldwide rip-off at http://wantagate.blogspot.com and ASU students are researching it. They really want Joe and Sarah locked up.

Here's the press release,

"To The World Press, These are opinions based on known facts.

We'll let you all know if WANTAGATE THIEF SHERIFF JOE ARPAIO tries to make a false arrest out of our FREE SPEECH. In a free country, he's welcome to retaliate and hurl ETHNIC SLURS and CRUDE SEXUAL INNUENDOS at us. Keep you posted. PALIN UPDATE. During her last visit to Arizona, "GREASEBALL JOE" ARPAIO gave his fantasy gal, "The Wasilla WackJob" SARAH PALIN, a pair of PINK TENT CITY JAIL SKIVVIES that "The WackJob" was rumored to have modelled for "Pervert Joe" in private at taxpayers' expense. Just call OLD JOE "America's Sickest Panty Sniffer." Any wonder why "The WackJob" is now avoiding ARIZONA? See JAMES KING's report at http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.c... On a more serious note, "The WackJob" and JOE and many other co-conspirators are criminally-complicit in the ongoing theft and misappropriation of THE GLOBAL SETTLEMENT FUNDS, trillions of dollars stolen from "We The People." Please see http://wantagate.blogspot.com for details. Comments welcome, JOE. Punk. WestAll of Us"

Ron Paul is the keynote. Otherwise this summit would be 100% useless. I'll be there on sat to see Dr. Paul mop the floor with those "Tea Partiers."

Ah "Schucks!"......

Why the disappointment? Having that wacky wonder from Wahsilla ditch the Tea Pottier powwow, is great news for the anti-Haters and the Americans who are for unity. Sarah Palin is nothing more than a incohorent lip flapper with a chip on her shoulder.

It's doubtful that Palin would ever appear at this particular group, TEA Party Patriots, since it is a Dick Armey operated group, and Armey has been promoting Tim Pawlenty for the gop nomination. That's why Pawlenty will be the keynote speaker. Perhaps you should actually get your facts straight before writing this kind of tripe.

The Arctic Circle Ho should come down here and drag her mindless daughter and her daughter's skiddish little boyfriend back to popsicle country for keeps. We have enough human manure here in Haterville (not to be confused with Hooterville)

The TSA was sponsoring the Iditarod but dropped out when they were educated about the dog cruelties (helpsleddogs.org). What does Palin think of the TSA using tax money to sponsor the race?

I wonder why you chose this picture? Very appropriate but it lacks imagination. Although illuminating in its overt way.
